在,運転挙動の測定を行う実験の多くは,運転挙動測定装置を搭載した実験専用車両を被験者が運転することによって行われている.しかしながら,この方法では,自分の運転に対する評価を被験者が過剰に意識したりするため,普段の運転挙動を測定することが困難となっていた.そこで,著者らは,被験者の車両に容易に設置可能なシステムを開発した.この装置を被験者が普段使用する車両に搭載することで,速度,加速度,車両位置,車間距離,前方映像を長期間連続して測定することが可能になった.また,取得した全ての運転挙動データを人が確認するのは大変であるため,データから必要な部分を自動的に抽出するシステムを開発した.To measure drivers' behavior, experimental vehicles must be driven by test drivers. But because drivers are then conscious of the experiment, their everyday driving behavior cannot be analyzed. To measure and record everyday driving behavior, we developed a portable device that installs easily and measures car speed, acceleration, position, distance gap, and a frontal image. This device can be installed in drivers' personal cars so that we can examine their long-term driving behavior. In addition, we have developed a system that automatically analyzes the recorded driving behavior.
