This is a research paper about historical background and it's characteristics of the first published course of study of Showa 22^<nd> to the 5^<th> published course of study of Showa 52^<nd>. We can summarized them as followings; Showa 22^<nd> published course of study was tentative plan as text book compiled by the Ministry of Education repealed, it was guide book to draw up subject. Showa 26^<th> published course of study was also tentative plan, Subject plan revised to Curriculum and it was devided into four area; foundation of learning, society and nature, creative representation and build up one's health. Showa 33^<rd> published course of study was changed from tentative plan to bulletin of the Ministry of Education, it was adopted legal restraint and made point of basic knowledge of subject "Japanese" and "mathematics", improvement of science education to progress science and technology education, organic of each subjects, selection of goal and contents and basic learning. Showa 43^<rd> published course of study was stressed on harmony and unity for human-builder, Curriculum was composed by "subjects", "moral", "special activity", and made point of organic learning. Showa 52^<nd> published course of study was emphasized on harmony for learning, knowledge, virtual and physical, organic of each subject, training of creativity, invention of school and teachers to creativity for solid, beneficial and enjoyable school life.
