2009 年 11 月に行政刷新会議によって実施された 「事業仕分け」 は、科学技術関連予算を大きく削る結果となり、情報処理学会もこの事態に 「行政刷新会議事業仕分けについての意見」 を表した。本学会に限らず、学術界は事業仕分けに対して否定的な意見が多かったものの、世論調査では事業仕分けに対する一定の評価が見られた。本稿では、「事業仕分け」 を通じて露わになった専門家集団との社会の乖離について、主として情報学の見地から考察する。"Jigyo shiwake", or the screening of budget requests held by Administrative Reform Council during November 2009 cut the budget for science and technology, and IPSJ protested against this with the claim of"The Opinion against Jigyo Shiwake held by Administrative Reform Council". Though many academic societies were against the Jigyo Shiwake, polls showed that the general public seemed to be for the screening. In other words, Jigyo Shiwake showed us the gap between academic professionals and ordinary people. This paper will discuss this gap in terms of informatics.
