Davidsonian anti-representationalism is sometimes seen as a powerful weapon which can completely destroy the general framework of the Cartesian skeptical argumentation and Kantian anti-skeptical dialectic. Indeed, Davidson's philosophy of language has several very important morals, but, on my opinion, 'the Davidson-Rortyan attack to modern representationalism fails, because it does not successfully recognize two significant points: 1) Cartesian-Lockean theory of idea has the same dynamic structure as Davidson's argument against representationalism shows; 2) Kantian representationalism distorts this original structure in a usually misrecognized way so that it needs to be treated in a quite different manner.
