It is important to develop the qualities and abilities to be able to make a conscious effort to maintain and promote one's health from early childhood. In that sense, "milk" was chosen as a theme that combines the two aspects of food education and life science education. A "RIKADOKU (science reading)" program for children using picture books was designed corresponding to the evaluation index of "RIKADOKU" program created in the previous research based on The BSCS 5E Instructional Model by Bybee (2006). By using the picture books correspond to each stage of The BSCS 5E Instructional Model, it is expected that the children are able to recall their experience, and to acquire the new words for expressing their thoughts.
