4 species of Cladocera belonging to the genus Moinodaphnia and Moina are described and figured. Moinodaphnia macleayii KING is newly recorded in Japan.

A rare species of Genus Latonopsis, Latonopsis kokuboi KADOTA, 1961,collected from Lake Kejou-numa, on August 30, 2006 was studied. Female : Body outline widely oval, translucent, yellowish in colour. Body length 0.9〜1.0 mm. First antennae 2-jointed, the terminal joint 4 times as long as the proximal joint, forming long slender flagellum. Antennal seatae 4-7/0-1-4. Postabdomen varies from 8〜11 anal denticles on each side. Male: unknown.

Two new species of Genus Macrothrix (Macrothrix mikawaensis sp. nov. and Macrothrix hidaensis sp. nov)and one new species of Genus Simocephalus (Simocephalus japonica sp. nov) were discovered in the paddy field of Japan.

A new species of Genus Leydigia, Leydigia louisi nipponica TANAKA et OJIKA n. subsp. was discovered in barrage of Higashi-Sumida race, Anjou, Aichi Prefecture. Female: Body length 0.6〜0.8mm. Body outline widely oval, translucent, yellowish in colour. Ocellus triangular, larger than eye. Antennules almost reaching apex of rostrum. Antennal seatae 0-0-3/1-1-3. Postabdomen with 9〜11 lateral groups of seatae. Posterior margin with marginal row of small spinules on the inner side. This subspecies is different from the other species of Genus Leydigia by bodyline widely oval. Male: Body length about 0.7mm. Ocellus larger than eye. Outer branch of endite of leg I with seatae of slightly different length. Vas deferens opening on apex of penislike process. Alona eximia KISER, 1948 is newly recorded in Japan.
