We have developed a tritium screening method focused on seafood. Time saving and simplicity of tritium analysis were achieved by performing analysis as total tritium that simultaneously obtains the recovered water of TFWT and OBT. We carried out the experiment using HTO and L-leucine [4, 5 – 3H], and confirmed that total tritium was sufficiently recovered. The developed method has a low detection limit, and it gives us a tool to judge smoothly the annual radiation dose caused by consumption of seafood is below the guidelines authorized by international organizations, the safety level for public. The detectable radiation dose by tritium is 9.2 × 10–6 mSv/y for average consumption of seafood in Japan. This method can evaluate 2–3 orders lower dose level authorized by international organizations for public.

心電図は他の循環器系検査にくらべ操作が簡単で,一般臨床における親近感もつよく,またその解読で得られる情報の利用価値は高い.ことに危険な虚血性心疾患や不整脈の診断治療には欠くことのできないものであり,日常検査法のひとつとして手術適応の決定や手術後経過の管理にも用いられている.もちろん,心電図所見のみでは臨床状態の把握は不可能であり,他の系統的な検査結果とあわせて判断しなければならない.<BR>一方,実施臨床上,手術前後に危険な不整脈に遭遇した際には,その成因の解明とともに適切な処置が必要とされる,しかし,一般病院における手術後管理の大部分は一部の心電図専門家の取り扱いから離れることも多く,外科領域でも不整脈に対する原因対策および応急処置の必要な状態も生じてくる.開胸手術ばかりでなく,開腹手衛においても不整脈の発生することはよく知られており,種々の集計的報告も少なくない.しかしながら個々の症例をとうし,その臨床経過および発生過程をかえりみることもあながち無意味とは思われない.最近,われわれは泌尿器科手術後に著明な不整脈の発生した3例を経験したので報告するとともに,若干の文献的考察を加える.

A newly designed electrolytic device to enrich tritium in environmental water is proposed. This device is composed of a solid polymer electrolytic film (SPE film) and porous, dimensionally stable electrodes (DSE) . In our design a platinum mesh was inserted between the SPE film and the anode DSE so that the device can be easily disassembled and the used SPE film can be replaced with a new one after each use. A thin gold plate with a number of minute holes in it is used as current collector in both electrodes allowing the electrolytic gas to be released progressively.An electrolytic current of 6A was passed through the device to obtain a volume reduction factor of five by keeping a temperature of water bath at 2°C or lower. After that, our device achieved a tritium recovery factor of 0.836 ± 0.021 (n=4) . Such a value is greater than the value obtained using a commercially available apparatus operated under the same experimental conditions. It is thought that this greater efficiency depends on the difference between electrolytic temperature produced in our device and the temperature in the commercially available one.
