Abstract The term shakoshin , literally the desire for happiness resulting from chance circumstances, is used in relation to the regulation of gambling, in reference to a psychological state in which an individual desires property benefits by chance. In this paper,gambling is divided into three types for the analysis of shakoshin . (1) Touji type: The parties have no involvement in the result at all; (2) Hakugi type: The parties cannot participate in the result, but they can participate in selecting the target for a winning bet;(3) Yuugi t ype: T he parties may be involved in t he result t o some extent or other. The factors contributing to the stimulation of shakoshin are classified as “reward expectation effects” based on the magnitude of property profits, “probability expectation effects” based on the probability of property being gained, and “internal control effects” related to the parties’ involvement. These three effects allowed us to identify differences in the nature of each form of gambling activity.【抄録】ギャンブル等の規制に使われる「射幸心」であるが、これは語義的には「偶然の幸せを頼む心」であるが、規制においては「偶然の財産的利益を欲する心理状況」の意味で使われる。本研究では、ギャンブルの性質を( 1 )賭事型:当事者が結果に全く関与できないもの( 2 )博戯型:当事者は結果には関与できが、当選対象を選択することに当事者が関与できるもの( 3 )遊技型:当事者が多少に関わらず結果に関与できるものに分類した。また射幸性を誘発する要素を、財産的利益の大小を基準とする「報酬期待効果」と、得られる確率を基準とする「確率期待効果」、行為者の関与に関わる「内部統制効果」に分類して分析した。この3 つの効果により各ギャンブルの性質の違いを明らかにした。
