大都市の機能のなかでは都心へ集中するものと郊外へ拡散するものがある。このうち郊外へ拡散する離心的機能を見せるものは住宅・学校・工場である。東京圏においては関東大震災以後急速に市街地が拡大したが、それには大正後期から昭和10年ぐらいまでに現在の路線網をほぼ完成した民営鉄道の役割が大きい。そこで本論では太平洋戦争前の郊外宅地開発と学校の郊外移転・増設についてその足となる民営鉄道との関係をを調査した。宅地・学校の郊外立地は交通の便が多大に影響する。そこで民営鉄道が沿線に宅地を開発し、本格的に鉄道と結び付けて宅地の分譲をしたのは大阪の箕面有馬電軌が最初である。東京では宅地開発会社である田園都市株式会社が分譲した宅地の足として鉄道が建設されるという新たな形態が生れた。民営鉄道の沿線開発にはこの二社に代表される二つのパターンがあり、どちらも市街地の拡大に対応したものだった。民営鉄道は旅客誘致策の一つとして学校の誘致を行い、土地開発会社である箱根土地株式会社は「学園都市」として開発を行った。また, 学園が郊外移転の際に資金捻出のために周辺宅地を開発分譲し学園町を作り出した。しかし、東京圏の学園町は欧米の学園都市と違い、ただの「学園のある町」にとどまる場合が多い。

1998年1月から2002年12月までの5年間に当院で経皮内視鏡的胃瘻造設術(PEG)を施行した65歳以上の178例を対象とし,後ろ向きコホート解析を行った.術後7日以内の周術期死亡率は1.7%,30日以内の早期死亡率は5.9%,1年生存率は61.4%であった.術前のAlb,T-chol,ChE値が良いと生存率も有意に高かった.多変量解析では悪性疾患,T-chol値が予後に有意に関わっていた.術後の栄養状態の改善は有意だが限界があった.PEGは患者の状態から予測される予後や危険性を把握したうえでその適応の有無が決定されるべきであり,患者の長期生存とQOL向上の両立を考えることが重要である.<br>

To control the generation of “(*slime*)” which became a problem when the papermaking process drain was reused, we examined sterilization tests by using ultraviolet (UV) radiation and hydrogenperoxide (HP) together. It was confirmed general bacilli was able to be sterilized by changing the amount of the UV radiation and the amount of the addition HP at an arbitrary level and the proliferation control was effective.Next, we examined the number of general bacilli which existed together on the household papers, such as toiletpapers and tissues. Hundreds of general bacilli a piece in toiletpapers detected and tens of it a piece in tissues. When the UV radiation was irradiated to these papers, it was understood not to detect a general bacillus by one side 30 (mj/cm2) level if both sides were irradiated. When UV radiation was irradiated after HP do atomization, it was confirmed to be able to sterilize even with the HP a low density and the amount of the UV radiation of a low level. Sterilization and the water processing technology by UV radiation and HP using together are thought to be a technology which can be used by various scenes of the papermaking process.

Calyculins having high cytotoxicity were isolated from the marine sponge Discordermia calyx in the Gulf of Sagami. Calyculin A (1), the major cytotoxic constituent, has 15 chiral centers, a spiroketal bearing phosphate, an oxazole ring, and a nitrile conjugated with all (E)-tetraene. However, its absolute stereostructure has remained uncovered. Interestingly, calyculin A (1) exhibits antitumor activity against Ehrlich and P-388 leukemia in mice. Its unique complex structure as well as its intriguing biological activity led us to investigate the total synthesis of 1, which will determine the absolute configuration of 1 as well. Retrosynthetic analysis has revealed that 1 would be constructed from four fragments A, B, C, and D, shown in Chart 1. Fragments A and B could be prepared by stereoselective reduction of tetronic acid derivatives 11 and 24, respectively. Fragments C and D were prepared from amino acids utilizing the methodology developed by us earlier.
