Recently in the construction industry rationalization in production systems are aimed at in order to improve the cost competitiveness. This time, we could get the chance of controlling the cost in early stages of design process. In the conventional procedure, the cost estimate is done in two stages consisting of preliminary estimate and detailed estimate later resulting in reconsideration of design in order to match with the budget. Using 3D-CAD we could do the estimate in each step of design and fit into the budget.

2001年5月からNTTドコモがIMT-2000と呼ばれる次世代携帯電話の試験サービスを開始した。この次世代サービスの情報伝達レートは最大384kb/sであり、従来の音声やデータに加え動画像通信が可能である。このようなモバイル・マルチメディア通信端末ではディスプレイのサイズが制限されることから、表示画面の最小サイズの検討が必要である。本文では、動画像およびこれに文字が同時に表示される場合について、主観評価実験によりさまざまな画像を楽しむのに妨げとならない表示画面の最小サイズおよび文字サイズを明らかにし、動画像+文字画面の設計指針を述べる。
