A newly found phenomenon, in which the electric resistivity in a highly purified water gradually decreases through hours and days after application of a milli-gauss ac magnetic field in a short time, its mechanism model, and its wide application for various positive biological effects are summarized. A theoretical model for the mechanism based on the cyclotron resonance with the frequency f=qBdc/2πm for each hydro-molecular cluster with the proton charge q and the cluster mass m of H3O+(H2O)n under the terrestrial field Bdc well explains the gradual decreasing ratio of the resistivity for each cyclotron frequency forming a long range order proton transport path. The high temperature stability of a magnetized water resistivity may reflect the homeostasis. The phagocytic activity of neutrophils is remarkably elevated in a magnetized phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) solution. The milli-gauss, ULF magnetic field applied water will be a basic medium for the magneto-protonics.

Author's special experiences of 40 years Magnetics research and development for amorphous alloy based Sensor Magnetics through two national universities and a national institute of technology are summarized. A topic of recent commercialized intelligent sensor chip installed in a mobile phone (Vodafone Ltd.) is timely introduced in which five amorphous wire-CMOSIC MI sensors are integrated detecting the geomagnetic field in the three dimensional MI sensor and simultaneously the angle and acceleration of the phone body in another two dimensional MI sensor combining with micro magnets. Importance of international and industry-university-governmental collaborations for promotion of basic researches to industrialization and research-oriented enterprising are presented.

A number of ecological and evolutionary patterns or 'rules' dealing with body size have been proposed over the years, the most prominent being Bergmann's rule, Cope's rule, and Rensch's rule. The mechanisms underlying these patterns remain enigmatic. We focused on the relationship between magnetic field (MF) exposure and animal body size because Bergmann's rule holds that organisms tend to be larger at higher latitudes, where the geomagnetic field is more than two fold stronger than at lower latitudes. We researched the relationship between electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure and change in animal body weight using data in the literature. We conducted a meta-regression analysis to examine the impact of EMF exposure on animal weight as compared with the weight of unexposed controls. Meta-regression showed that EMF exposure had a statistically significant positive association with relative weight in males but not in females. The increase in body weight would explain Rensch's rule. The increase in the relative weights of males would explain Bergmann's and Cope's rules. Over successive generations, animals would gradually gain a considerable amount of body size if environmental MF and/or EMF become stronger over the course of time, which explains Cope's rule.

A transistor logic memory module based on the Royer oscillator type magnetic multivibrator is presented, in which a HTcSC thin disk core having six coils tightly set around it is connected with two switching transistors. The oscillation of this module is initiated by applying a pulse current to a coil and the phase of oscillation is controlled by the sign of the trigger pulse. That is, this module is a phase memory type logic device such as Parametron. Moreover, oscillation is terminated by applying a pulse current to a small transistor which shorts another coil of the HTcSC. We can assign two oscillating states with different phases to the numerical values ±1 and the non-oscillating state to 0. This logic is decided by a majority of multi-input, so that this module has applications in the field of neural network system.

Torque was detected in a steel shaft with a ring-sharped surface by using a magneto-impedance effect sensors whose heads were placed on the two edges of a gutter in the ring-shaped surface. The hysteresis removal was done utilizing two different shapes of the hysteresis of torque detection at the two egges. A large pulse current was a priori applied through the shaft to induce circumferential magnetic anisotropy in order to remove the magnetic poles at the gutter edge for zero torque.
