HARPは、)個人の情報活動(参照、整理、発言)総てをアノーテーションとみなし、収集し共有すること、)コミュニケーションの場を構成する要素を「話題」と「コミュニティ」とに分離し、利用者が独自にコミュニケーションの場を組立てること、以上2点を基本指針とするハイパーアノーテーション・システムである。総てのアクションをアノーテーションとして共有することで、他の利用者の動向に早い時期に気づくことができる。利用者はコンテンツの検索、整理により話題を特定し、次にコミュニティを指定することで場を生成できる。利用者は、話題に関する過去の発言をコミュニティを切替ながら参照し、新たに発言を付加することができる。HARP is the hyper-annotation system based on two basic principles: (1) Users' all actions on contents should be maintained as annotations and shared in a community. (2) Users can construct their own communication spaces by selecting two orthogonal components: "community" and "topic." Annotations allow users to be aware of a group of people who share hot topics. HARP communication space is created in two steps. First users designate their field of interests (topic) by retrieval or categorization. Second, they designate a community, then they can read comments from the specified community and post new comments to the community.
