The purposes of this study were to draw the state of "the manner of suffering" in adolescence how people experience and cope with suffering, and to investigate the process of the manner of suffering. Further, as the view of the manner of suffering, the concept of experiencing distance and mental set were used. First, as a result of the classification made through interviews word-for-word records, five manner of suffering state, "avoidance", "observation", "depression ・perplexity", "conflict ・groping", "confusion" were drawn as the manner of suffering in adolescence. Second, as a result of studying the process of the manner of suffering as case study, the possibility that the manner of suffering changed and were brought to solution after some manner of suffering were experienced was suggested. Finally, for getting knowledge to psychological support from suffering process, the significance of attention for the manner of experiencing was discussed.
