美容医療の苦情は1997年から増加の傾向にあり、女性の美意識に関連した大きなビジネスが発展するとともに問題も生じているといえる。そこで、女性の美意識に関連する行動である女性の化粧、補整下着の着用、美容外科についてその意識を分析し、女子短大生の実態を明らかにしようと試みた。アンケート調査は2005年に短期大学生を対象として実施した。その結果、短大生は自分の身体に対して否定的な意識を持ち、現在使用している化粧、補整下着は限定されているが、今後、しみやたるみ、しわには化粧品を使用し美容外科の治療をしたい、補整下着であるガードルやボディスーツ、ハイヒールを利用したいと考えていることが明らかとなった。

高齢者社会へのメッセージ展PartⅣで高齢者用寝衣と留め具のいろいろ等について展示発表した。また、坂本モデル製M100-5小春さん(こはる)を対象に一般のパジャマ、工夫パジャマ2種の着脱介助の過程を観察し、検討した。結果は以下のようである。1)高齢者用寝衣については、見学者の高い関心が示され、高齢者の特性を考え設計した、オーガニック木綿製の手作りパジャマが好評であった。 2)介護用パジャマについては、本学の学生たちに被服全般や、要介護に対する衣服への工夫やアイディアの必要性が理解され、高齢者への経緯や思いやりの気持ちの涵養の一助となった。 3)高齢者体験用手袋で留め具の開閉をした結果②自由に動くボタン、④ブーメラン形のボタン、⑤封筒の留め具感覚の2~3mmのひも使い⑧ドットボタンがやりやすいという意見が多かった。 4)着脱介助の場合、マジックテープまたはファスナーをつけることにより平面形状に展開してから着衣する工夫パジャマは、一般のパジャマより側臥への姿勢転換回数が顕著に減少し、介護者の負担を軽減することが示唆された。At the Exhibition of Messages to an Aging Society Part Ⅳ, various products such as sleepwear and fasteners for the elderly were exhibited. Also, Sakamoto Model's M100-5 Koharu-san was used to observe the process of helping to dress and undress, using general pajamas and 2 types of special pajamas. The results of our investigation are as follows. 1) Observes showed strong interest in elderly sleepwear, with favorable evaluation of organic cotton handmade pajamas designed with characteristics of the elderly in mined. 2) This school's students understood the necessity of ideas for general pajamas and pajamas for the for people that require assistance. It helped to foster feelings of repect and consideration toward the elderly. 3) As a result of trying to open and close fasteners while wearing elderly exexperiential gloves, many throught that these buttons were easy to use : (2) Freely moving buttons, (4) Boomerang type buttuns, (5) Threaded buttuns like those used to close envelopes, (8) Dot buttuns. 4) When aiding undressing, special pajamas required dramatically fewer changes of body position than for general pajamas, suggesting less burden on the care giver.
