The mechanical strength of ices, especially for the glacier has been studied since 19th century. However, there are few industrial applications such as mechanical processing tools without ice-blast. Because the specific data of mechanical properties for ice are unknown. Therefore, we produced four types of ices which had different clearness using aeration system, and measured the hardness of ices from 77 K to 268 K. Furthermore, the indentation displacements were also measured during the hardness test, so that the Elastic Recovery Ratios of ices were investigated in this study.

There have been many literary and theatrical works written after the Disaster of the Great East Japan Earthquake. Some have been played for general audience, but others were made and have been performed by high school students and teachers. There have been criticisms on the works made by those who were not experienced the disaster themselves. Yet, as art for future audience, imagination is more and more demanded.

Garlic (Allium sativum L.) is widely used as a seasoning around the world. Aomori prefecture reached an approximately 70% share of the garlic production in Japan. Recently, agricultural industry is faced with big problem with human resource shortages and aging of the farmer. Additionally, the interest for food safety have been increasing with organic vegetables without use of any pesticides. In response to these issues, full control hydroponic cultivation systems are useful with less human resource and pesticide-free production under controlled cultivation environment. However, hydroponic culture for garlic cultivation is not established yet. In this study, we demonstrated hydroponic culture of garlic without use of any pesticides. As a result, hydroponic culture showed fast growing rate compared soil culture.

In this paper we deal with YG Personality Inventory (YGPI) in case of Heisei 18 third grader in Hachinohe National College of Technology. YGPI consists of 120 questions which are quite useful and also quite valuable to many companies, department to obtain information for their personnel. At school the YGPI helps teachers counsel students for their direction in seeking a profession. As a result, it turned out that distribution of a candidate is average.

Removal of Cd^<2+>, Ni^<2+>, Cu^<2+>, Hg^<2+>, and V^<3+> from the aqueous solutions was examined using waste-paper fly ash produced and provided by a paper-mill. The ash was stirred in 50 ppm metal ion solution at 25℃ for 6h. Concentration of the metal ions was determined by X-ray fluorimetry. Experiment of varying initial concentration of Cd^<2+> gave maximum adsorption of 24 mg/g([B]), which was higher than the results for bagasse fly ash of 1.2 mg/g reported in a literature. Cadmium adsorption increased with increase in pH, while nickel and copper adsorptions were almost constant with increasing pH, being similar values with maximum cadmium adsorption. Adsorption of Hg^<2+> and V^<3+> was considerably lower than the values of above three ions. Metal-ion adsorped ashes were stirred in 0.1N HN0_3, to be desorped for metal ions above 90%.
