The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore in U.S.A. possesses a significant number of objects from the Japanese exhibits at the Centennial Exhibition. These objects were almost brought by William Walters ( 1819 - 1894 ) and Henry Walters ( 1845 - 1931 ). It is said that they purchased nearly 400 objects from the Centennial Exhibition. In this report the 204 objects are introduced. Of the 204 objects, 139 have been evaluated as definitely coming from the Centennial Exhibition and the 65 of them have yet to be definitely classed as exhibits from the Exhibition. They are mainly lacquer ware, ceramics, bronzes ware, and silver ware.

[Abstract] Authors are strongly believe that practice of business and the secretarial practice teaching are encourage the students to cultivate their social life and the teaching of proper phrase of language will develop the better humans relationship and maintain the business society. In recent years, some of the students are using (FAMICON language). Then, according to the research report shows that some peoples encountered with uncomfortableand unpleasant feel by hearing these language. Therefore, we would like to propose the most effective teaching guidance to these students to not use (FAMICON language) in the hospitality business.

洋菓子店のWeb サイトに関する制作指針を検討した。最初に、検索エンジンとしてヤフーとグーグルを用いて112 の実店舗Webサイトを抽出した。抽出されたサイトに対して学生の評価をベースとして絞り込んだ9つのサイトについて別の学生集団による5段階評価を実施し、上位3つのサイトを選考した。また、これとは別に洋菓子店に関するアンケートを実施した。両方の結果を分析した結果、洋菓子店のサイトでは、ケーキの写真が決定的に重要であること、単品に偏らないこと、文字が多すぎないこと、リンク表示がわかりやすいこと、制作の舞台裏情報が分かること、駐車場情報が重要なこと、などいくつかのサイト制作指針が得られた。これらはいずれも常識的な指針と言えるが、そのような常識的な指針をはずしたサイトも多く見られた。

現代社会を表現する言葉の一つとして情報社会と称しているが、目まぐるしく変化する社会に対応するためには学校教育の場においても、従来から行われてきた教育に対しての変革が求められている。その中でもIT産業に伴う情報の発展はコンピューターやその周辺機器の開発が進み、人々はそれらの操作の仕方を学習することに追われている状態である。次から次に商品の開発が進められていくと、青少年たちは情報についての正しい知識や理解を得ることに追いついていくことができずに、ただ目新しい商品へと関心が寄せられることになっている。 本研究ではその方法として、大学1年生男女(教職課程科目履修者)に対して質問紙によるアンケート調査を行う。現代の若者の携帯電話を中心に据えてそれらの関連性の実態を把握することによって、現代の青少年の情報に関わる課題を分析し、情報化社会をどの様に捉え、展望や課題性をどの様な認識をもってスタンスを取っているか、また、携帯電話に対する理解や認識、携帯電話が日常の生活にどの様な影響を与えているか、さらに、今後の教育の在り方等について研究する。 調査結果から見えてくるものは、携帯電話はほとんどが高校生までに保護者から買ってもらって持っている。携帯電話を持った動機としては友人が持っているのでという何となくという状況である。1ヶ月間の携帯電話の使用料は5,000円以上~10,000円未満がもっとも多い。また、使用している回数も3回から5回辺りに集中しており、中には11回以上というのもあり、時間的にも1時間程度使っているという状況である。したがって、経費もかなりの高額になっている。最近の若者の活字文化離れが指摘されているが、手紙を書くという生活経験も少なく、手紙を書く形式や手紙に用いられる用語等の理解も十分ではない。また、新聞、小説(本)、雑誌などを読む習慣も身に付いていない。 情報社会における情報機器(マス・メディア)に対する認識としては、その機器に対する生産性や目的の正の効果と負の効果の両側面を十分に捉えることができないでいる。特に、情報機器(携帯E-メール)の利点として、人と直接会わないで連絡が取れるから便利であると認識していることに対しては多くの課題があるように思われる。したがって、情報や情報機器についての学習の在り方として、パソコンの使い方(操作の仕方)の学習や実際に学習課題の解決のためのソフトを使った学習や教科の学習は行っているが、これからは、「情報機器が産業社会や日常生活にどの様な豊かさや危機をもたらしているか」という観点での「情報」に関する学習のカリキュラム編成が重要な課題となってくる。機器の取り扱い方の習得は言うまでもないが、新しい学力観に立った情報教育の在り方が幅広く求められることになる。

今、これまでの物質文明時代から心の豊かさを求めていく時代に移行しているなか、教育も新しい学力の在り方を求めて、学校では日々実践されている。最近の教育の動向は教育課程と学校の創造が中心的課題として、周囲の関心を集めている。 そこで、本論文では、学校教育における新しい学力観のもとでの、現代社会に適応できる学力とは何か、これからの社会を担っていく子供たちに何を学ばせればよいか、どのような社会人を育成すればよいかなど、特にゆとり教育と学力の関連に観点をおいて提案する。 (英文) Now time is just changing the shift from material culture to mental richness. According to this, "what the new scholastic ability should be" has also being considered in the educational field. The aim of this paper is to suggest some subjects on school educational management such as what the scholastic ability which can be adaptable to present society is, what chirdren who will shoulder coming future should learn, how they should be trained as member of this society and so on, especially from the view of the relationship between space education and scholastic ability.

平成17年の合併により誕生した福津市における、山笠復興の取り組みとデザインの役目について記す。旧津屋崎町には古くから祇園山笠があり、現在でも3つの流れがある。一方旧福間町では明治期に山笠があったが今は途絶えている。平成18年より旧福間町の有志が会を組織して津屋崎祇園山笠に参加し、福間山笠の復興に取り組んでいる。平成19年には水法被、長法被(当番法被)の着用が許され、筆者が襟紋等のデザインを担当した。 (英文) This report describes a role of design for an action of a festival revival in Fukutsu-city. Fukutsu-city was created through the merger of Fukuma-cho and Tsuyazaki-cho in 2005. There is a festival that continues from the Edo period in Tsuyazaki-cho. The festival is called Yamakasa in Tsuyazaki-cho. Three Nagare teams continue to this day. On the other hand, there was a festival from Meiji period in Fukuma-cho, but it was cease now. Men of Fukuma-cho organized a group and participated in Yamakasa in Tsuyazaki-cho from 2006 to the present. In 2007, I was in charge of the design of crest.
