第一報となる本稿では,美術科と社会科による共同授業を通して「思考力・判断力・表現力」を高める教育プログラムの開発にあたってふまえるべき諸点について論じている。まず,「思考力・判断力・表現力」を促進する授業づくりの条件として,従来の教科内範疇を超えた教材開発が必要であること,適切な教材の機能性をふまえることの二点を確認した。次いで実際の教育プログラム開発における基本的視座として,情報分析力を高めるために日本の古典絵画を積極的に活用すること,「みる力」を「思考力・判断力・表現力」を促進するストラテジー(手立て)として捉えること,英語をコミュニケーションメディアとして学習過程に積極的に活用することの三点をあげた。第二報では以上の諸点をふまえ,実際のプログラムおよび授業の展開,考察等について論述する。This paper is intended as a study for a new education program which combines Art and Social Studies ; the aim being enchancing students's ability to think critically and express views. In this first half we are going to point out two conditions for enhancing such abilities. One is the development of teaching materials beyond conventional framework. The other is that teaching materials must be on the basis of appropriate functions. The second half concerning the development of this Education is as follows; 1)Analize information with the help of the Japanese traditional Paintings. 2)Enhance abilities to think critically and express their views by visual training as effective strategies. 3)Making use of English as a communication media through the process of learning. In the next issue we are going to expand the actual curriculum and practices based on these conditions and concepts.
