江戸時代から明治時代にかけて"三段なぞ"にかかわる出版物が多く刊行された。一方、江戸時代末期から明治時代初期を中心に"おもちゃ絵"と呼ばれる子ども向けの錦絵版画が多く摺られた。そして、三段なぞがおもちゃ絵として出版された資料もあった。すなわち、同時代を彩った三段なぞとおもちゃ絵という両者が出合った記念すべき資料ということになる。それら三段なぞのおもちゃ絵資料は日本の伝統文化のひとつでありながら、今日では忘れ去られていると言っても過言でない。本稿では"∧や"という版元から出版された三段なぞのおもちゃ絵資料である『新作なぞなぞ合』『新撰なぞなぞ尽』の二種を翻刻紹介し、その意義を明らかにする。Many published matters about riddles were printed between the Edo era and the Meiji era, while many colored prints called Omochae appeared in the same period. Some prints are combination of riddles and Omochae. Today they are forgotten although they are one of Japanese traditional culture. "Sinsaku Nazonazo Awase(新作なぞなぞ合)"and "Sinsen Nazonazo Zukusi(新撰なぞなぞ尽)" are prints of Omochae with riddles, which were published with ∧ya(∧や). These prints are introduced in this report.
