本国際共同研究はホンジュラスの世界遺産「コパンのマヤ遺跡」において、ミューオン透視という日本発の物理学イノベーションをマヤ文明の神殿ピラミッド内部の探索に利用する新しい発想の考古学調査法により、マヤ碑文に記載されているコパン王墓を世界に先駆けて発見しようとする文理融合研究である。コパン遺跡アクロポリス内の11号神殿をターゲットとして、ミューオン透視法を適用し王墓の可能性がある未知の空間を同定する。可搬式ライダー機器を使った三次元計測によって構築された3Dモデルに発見空間を正確に位置づける。そこへ最短距離で到達できるトンネル経路を設計し11号神殿内部を発掘調査し透視結果を考古学的に検証する。

The World Cultural Heritage "Maya Site of Copan" is located at the town of CopanRuinas, Honduras, Central America. A digital museum was established here in 2015under Japanese cooperation. The main theme of the digital museum is the history of thecommunity of Copan Ruinas from ancient times to the present. While other museums atCopan Ruinas are managed by the Honduran Institute of Anthropology and History( IHAH)-which is a national organization of the country-, the digital museum is co-managedbetween the municipality of Copan Ruinas and IHAH in which community's idea plays apositive role in the installment and management of the exhibition. Kanazawa University'sliaison office at Copan Ruinas -set in 2017- has cooperated with the exhibition of thismuseum through the students' overseas internship program. The digital museum at CopanRuinas serves as a place of cultural exchange between the students and the people of thecommunity. It also serves as a good place of practice for the research on museums and thecommunity.

症例は62歳,男性.多発結腸癌および直腸癌に対しD3郭清を伴う直腸切断術が施行された.総合所見がf-StageIIIaであったことから補助化学療法としてカペシタビン単独療法を外来にて開始した.内服開始4日目,歩行困難,全身倦怠感,精神錯乱にて再来され,脳MRIにて白質脳症と診断された.薬剤の中断と対症療法により数日で症状は軽快しMRI所見でも白質脳症に伴う変化は消失した.薬剤性の白質脳症は様々な抗腫瘍薬で発症が報告されているが,カペシタビンによる白質脳症の本邦報告例は無い.自験例ならびに海外の報告からは,内服開始から発症までの期間が数日間と短い傾向があり,初回投与の際に十分な注意が必要と思われる.
