大学教育で問題となる留年について解析した。留年生には「入学時学力」が不足している者が多いが、入学時学力と大学での学修成果である評定平均には進級するにつれて相関性はなくなった。そこで、評定平均と学力にとらわれない行動因子(非認知能力)の関係性について解析したところ、評定平均とセルフコントロール尺度、ならびに性格5因子の一つである良識性には正の相関性があった。一方、評定平均と性格5因子の一つである情緒安定性には負の相関性があった。以上の結果は、これらの行動因子が学力不振に陥りやすい学生に対する早期指導、及び留年防止のための有用な指標になることを示唆している。

We investigated a kindergarten environment from the view of children by using pictures of favorite things in kindergarten taken by children themselves two times. The research proved the fact that all the children took pictures of animals and plants and that a consistent result among these children suggested one s individuality of preference and perception, on the other hand that inconsistent results reflected the changes in play or seasons. From these results we reconsidered the kindergarten environment by letting children take pictures as a study method.
