科学技術・学術審議会の学術情報基盤作業部会(2010年)及び学術情報委員会(2013年)による「審議のまとめ」をふまえ,主に大学図書館を対象に,図書館員の変わりゆく役割について考察する。現在の日本における大学や大学図書館が置かれている状況を整理したうえで,今後の図書館に起こり得る変革も視野に入れて,大学図書館員に求められる新たな期待と役割について説明する。また,九州大学が2O11年に開設した「教材開発センター」や大学院「ライブラリーサイエンス専攻」等の活動を紹介しながら,図書館員の人材育成・確保のための仕組みを構築する方法について述べ,最後に,図書館員の未来について展望する。

We present in this paper a formal theory of analogical reasoning. We are mainly concerned with three subjects, a formal definition of analogy, a formalization of the reasoning in terms of deduction, and a method for realizing the reasoning in a logic programming system. First we assume that each domain for the reasoning is represented by a set of definite clauses, and hence it is the least model for the set. Then we consider an analogy as a partial identity between the models. Secondly we introduce a notion of rule transformation to transform rules in one domain into those in the other. Then we can formalize the reasoning as a system with three inference rules, instantiation of rules, modus ponens, and the rule transformation. Finally, based on this formalization, we present an extended pure-Prolog interpreter which performs the detection of analogy and reasoning by the analogy at the same time.

Theoretical and practical issues about an intellectual information system MIR-RF (M___ulti-stage I___nformation R___etrieval System Based upon R___esearcher F___iles), which was realized by fortran in 1975, are discussed. One natural way to acquire knowledge is theoretically reformalized based on the logic program, in this case thesauri play an important role. According to the formalization, the representation and description of knowledge (or informations) are more simplified than those of former system, and a new MIR-RF system can easily be realized by Prolog.

本稿では,分散記憶型並列計算機上での効率の良い全文索引構築法について考察する.接尾辞配列は,最近提案された高機能全文索引であり,情報検索や遺伝子情報などに広い応用を持つ.本稿では,分散記憶型並列計算機上での効率の良い接尾辞配列構築法を提案する.Baeza-Yates-Gonnet-Sinder(BGS )アルゴリズムは,最も広く使われている外部記憶上の構築アルゴリズムである.このBGSアルゴリズムを並列化し,効率の良い並列構築アルゴリズムを与える.このアルゴリズムは,並列計算機時間と通信量に関して,BGS の最適な並列化になっており,従来からあるBGS の並列版のRiberio-Kitajima-Ziviani (RKZ )アルゴリズムに比べてより高速である.In this paper,we study efficient parallel construction of full-text indexing structures for large text data.The suffix array is a compact full-text indexing structure that is useful in information retrieval and bio-informatics.We propose an efficient parallel algorithm for constructing suffix arrays on distributed memory parallel computers.This algorithm is a parallel implementation of the well-known external memory algorithm,called Baeza-Yates-Gonnet-Sinder (BGS)algorithm.By theoretical analysis,we show that our algorithm runs more efficiently than Riberio-Kitajima-Ziviani (RKZ) algorithm,another parallel implementation of the BGS algorithm,in terms of parallel time and communication complexities.
