社会学 : 論文本稿では、「なぜ若年層の権威主義化が生じたのか」を明らかにするため、「大学進学率」と「専攻分野」を用いた説明を試みた。先行研究では、若年・高学歴層の権威主義化が指摘されていたが、高学歴層のうち、どのような人たちが権威主義化しているのかについては明らかにされてこなかった。そこで、SSM1995データとSSP2015データの比較を行った結果、若年層における権威主義化は高学歴男性において生じていたことが確認された。そして、高学歴層の権威主義化についてより詳細に検討するために、SSP2015データを用いた構造方程式モデリングにより、「大学進学率」と「専攻分野」の交互作用効果を検討した。その結果、大学進学率の高まりにともなって、文系学部卒の男性が権威主義傾向を示すことが明らかとなった。大学進学率と権威主義的態度に関連が見られたのは、相対的権威主義層の高等教育への流入と学生同士の相互作用によると考えられる。以上より、高等教育の拡大に伴う文系学部卒男性の権威主義化によって、若年層の権威主義化がもたらされたことが示唆された。

Siliceous cysts of 29 different morphological shapes were observed in the sea ice and sea water at the Kita-no-seto Strait, north of Syowa Station, Antarctica. Twenty species of those were newly discovered in the Antarctic waters. Cysts collected were in the size range of 3 to 10μm. They were tentatively classified into four groups based on their morphological characteristics; Sphaerica, Ovoidea, Hemisphaerica, and Tri/quadrihedra. Twelve cysts representative of each group and a cyst of Paraphysomonas imperforata confirmed newly were described. Cysts appeared from March to May, and in December (summer to autumn season) and the species diversity was highest in December with 18 species. Among 29 species, 20 appeared in the sea ice, eight in both sea ice and sea water, and one in sea water only. Main habitat of them seemed to be the brine pockets or channels of the sea ice.

Abundance, vertical distribution and maturity of the chaetognath Parasagitta elegans under the sea ice in a shallow lagoon (the depth of bottom, <20m) on Hokkaido in the daytime in February 1986, were examined. The abundance was estimated to be about 10-30 individ. m^<-3>. This is approximately half of the maximum densities previously reported in inshore open waters. Vertically, the maximum abundance was observed at a depth of 2 m beneath the undersurface of the ice. The size ranged 15.40-27.05 mm in body length, and most P. elegans were adult forms of Stage II in ovary maturity. These findings suggest that in the boreal waters P. elegans occurs commonly under the sea ice, and that the maturing adult forms appear in proximity of the ice even in the daytime.

Potential variations around the grain boundaries (GBs) on the surface in undoped n-BaSi2 epitaxial films on Si(111) and Si(001) were analyzed using Kelvin prove force microcopy. The potentials were higher at GBs than those in the BaSi2 grains on Si(111). The average barrier height was approximately 30 meV at the GBs, indicating that the enhanced potentials repulse photogenerated holes so that the charge carrier recombination can be effectively reduced. In contrast, the potentials were smaller at GBs in the BaSi2 on Si(001), and the average barrier heights were approximately 30 and 50 meV along Si[1–10] and [110], respectively.

A scanning tunneling microscopic study revealed quantum fluctuation of tunneling currents in individual Ge quantum dots (QDs) on SiO2/Si. This was due to the charging energy change in the QDs caused by single-electron transfer from or into the QDs. The observed electron discharging time of approximately milliseconds agreed with the propagation model of the electron wave packets from the QDs to the Si substrates by a tunneling effect rather than by passing through voids in the SiO2 smaller than electron de Broglie wavelength.
