This research is based on case examples wich is the method of organizing the purpose and costraints during a system introduction to match implementation to the customer requests.In this case study, we proposed the Redmine (an open source software project management tool) to our user in need of production management.If we clear the requests,options of implementation will increase.We will continue to resarch and propose to help companies who are having trouble with introducing systems.

The food industry in Japan covers 5% of GDP and 7% of contribution of working population recently. Major successful companies such as Watami group of drinking house, Saizelia of popular Italian restraint and Kura of rotating Sushi bar has been expanding their business with M&A and aiming 6th industry covered not only services in shops of 3rd industry, but also manufacturing and precooking at factory of 2nd and making rice and vegetable in own farm of 1st industry. This movement of 6th industry of food industry leads the direction of revolution of agriculture in Japan guided and supported by government today after great east Japan earthquake.This paper studied from history to overview of today's Japanese food industry and strategy of business management of ten representative excellent companies and explores direction of food industry in the 21st century.

"Research and development period"is often referred in discussions about R&D management. However, their meanings and lengths vary, such as with who executes R&D activities, academy or industry, and with stages from which R&D activities start. Therefore, consistent arguments and understandings are not developed enough hitherto. In this report, 48 recent R&D success cases for 21 Japanese large enterprises are divided into 4 industry segments, automobile, heavy machinery, chemistry and electric & electronics. Then average research and development periods are derived for each industry segment. In consequence, it is clarified that research and development periods vary with the industry segment, depending on their product cycles, have strong correlations with R&D innovation patterns, and faithfully reflect new business creation strategies in each industry segment.

The purpose of this study is to clarify how the environmental changes caused by the Covid-19 affected employee engagement, and to examine how remote work affects employee engagement and how it should be managed. In this study, social trends in working attitudes are confirmed from newspaper articles to understand the current situation, and a questionnaire survey of actual employees and interviews with employees are conducted to extract specific issues.The results of the survey indicate that telework not only has the effect of increasing employee engagement, but also has the effect of decreasing employee engagement by greatly affecting communication among workers. Therefore, it was concluded that although remote work is an effective tool for increasing employee engagement, it is necessary to introduce performance-based workplace culture and communication policies at the same time in order to take advantage of its effectiveness.

The relationship between the new social environment and ID (identity), such as the cyber ID in the Web3 space and the physical ID for personal authentication, is being highlighted. The authors conducted research and development based on the concept of “Job Gate”, which balances security and privacy in ID authentication management for visitors such as home delivery, and home services, which has become prominent under the pandemic.In the new normal (normalization of everyday / emergency coexistence), a resilient DX (digital transformation) strategy for cyber / physical dual phase space is required. In cyberspace, it is essential to build risk-tolerant ID authentication through distributed networks, and in physical space, to create fault-tolerant self-reliant entities that encompass this.Based on the above considerations, it was thought that autonomous decentralized ID systems in cyber space could guarantee the existence of the basis for the survival of subjects by combining them with self-sovereignty in physical space.

Chapter 8 of “Engineering Brands” series is “Embodying the Future Business in Mid- to Long Term.” We discuss the development of “the Engineering Brands” from the perspective of strategic marketing theories.CEOs predict outlook and draft mid and long-term plans. Dreams are not something that are given; you draw own dreams. Management works on developing their Engineering Brands while implementing the mid to long term business plans.A company comes together as a unit and establishes a “Brand” that is leading to the Next Generation. They would be able to communicate their strength with simple words if both employees and customers clearly understand the company’s brand concept.It is important to set clear company goals. This paper discusses when all employees making efforts to meet the common branding goals, the values of the company will rise.

In the global market, recently many Japanese companies have been losing their superiority and competitive ability which falls into "the Galabagos Syndrome". This paper states the reason of economical side and historic background of companies activity to be in such situation. Especially it refers double organization issue in domestic market, delay for globalization, long term operation of Japanese management style, for small and medium size companies including start ups. And it studies some approach of enterprise activity model to recover the vitality of Japan. In addition, from the view points of venture capital, two investment models, with the method of investment and the judgment of investment, are introduced, to create companies which keeps dynamic business model to go into the global market.

COVID-19 pandemic in Japan, the government recommends “cashless payment” to reduce contact opportunities.However, in previous research, there is concern about contact between people and objects in the payment operation of some payment methods, and the authors questioned whether the promotion of cashless payments alone is necessarily safe. In this paper, the authors have identified and clarified the payment operation process of the four cashless payment methods (credit card, debit card, electronic money, and QR code) by field survey. The results of the study revealed that there is a challenge in converting credit cards, which account for 90% of the cashless payment market share, to contactless. We also analyzed the trends in the market before and after COVID-19 by text mining of newspaper article data to identify their impact. After that, the authors discussed the feasibility of contactless and made recommendations for its solution. The recommendations are that the installation of contactless terminals in stores is costly, and that it is important to have a government initiative to promote it. The importance of promoting contactless credit cards to protect the elderly, who are more susceptible to COVID-19 infections, was also discussed.

Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster caused by the March 11 Japan earthquake and tsunami in 2011 is one of historical lessons for us, human beings. It suggests us that it is the time for us to sincerely consider shift of civilization. We, the people of all over the world, together must now accelerate Paradigm shift from self centered material civilization confronting nature to life centered environmental civilization harmonizing with nature in order to help crisis of the Earth and human beings and change world trend.We come to the conclusion that we must change our lifestyle from self centered shallow ecology to life centered deep ecology. Thus it is important for us to be engaged in advocating "Promotion for Ethical oriented lifestyle" which means that we are true to keep our lifestyle to be ethical way and we try to aufheben (improve) the 21st century to be "the ethical oriented century" not remaining to be only "the century of environment."

This research was done to show “establishing engineering brands requires engineers with “Senseware.” ” Production activities in “Senseware” focus on “development of human resources,” and particularly, developing individuals with intellectual productivity, experience and originality. A hypothesis, “Senseware” consists of 3 elements; sensibility, intelligence, and earnestness, was set, and the research proceeded with studying previous work case analysis.Although people often say sensibility is something congenital, it emerges its capabilities through experiences of learning. Intelligence comes from experiences of studying and practicing science and engineering. When intelligence merges with sensibility and earnestness, it earns customer’s trusts and develops innovation business.This paper discusses about “Senseware,” by defining and verifying three components; sensibility, intelligence, and earnestness.

The community of an area which has a variety of local resources has various cultural custom beyond economic relation, a social norm, and a confidential relation. If these resources are not organically related, they cannot be converted into the management resources which bring about local superiority. Therefore, the social entrepreneur recognizes such management resources and has to build a network in order to gain the resources. The purpose of this paper is to show clearly how did the social entrepreneur build the network and has gained local resources in the construction process.In this paper, the small-scale-hydropower enterprise by the business type NPO is undertaken applicable to research. In order that this paper aimed at a detailed examination of a local resource acquisition process, it adopted the qualitative method of research. The feature of this method of research is thinking qualitative data as important, and is being able to analyze a small number of example from many sides deeply. The social entrepreneur in the example of this paper had realized creation of new social value in five steps of processes. The strong point of tie intensity was utilized and the place was managed.The contribution to the business of this paper is having shown the following two points in this example. Strong tie is effective in acquisition of justification, and agreement formation of an area. Weak tie is effective in reservation and business innovation of enterprise nature.Moreover, the relation with public institutions, such as administration, showed about the influence which it has on an operating body's small-scale-hydropower business.

The Foxconn Technology Group of Taiwan EMS Company and Sharp were officially announced on April 2, 2016 that Foxconn got 66 % of shares of Sharp. Terry Gou who is now CEO of Foxconn and has built up the world top EMS company in only his own one generation played at press conference with self confident speech for acquiring Sharp strongly.Shigenori Nagamori who is now CEO of NIDEC Corporation has also built the world top small motor company in only his own one generation. Terry and Nagamori are both owner CEO and very similar management methodology because of different business segment and different country.This paper discusses that why these owner executives can be able to achieve such a distinguished management performance, compared management style with owner executive and most of non owner executive and surveyed how to shorten the difference between both management style and performance.
