The present study describes control methods for influenza virus. We verified the effect of slightly acidic electrolyzed water on influenza virus in both fluid condition and aerosol condition. By the hemagglutination test and the TCID50 test, it was confirmed that virus lost its viral activity drastically. In addition, we introduced the new system adopted electrolyzed water into school facilities. Experimental results showed the effect of keeping adequate relative humidity and decreasing airborne common bacteria and fungi.

This study aimed at investigating the behavior of airborne bacteria and aerosol when using a hand-dryer. The airborne bacteria and aerosol were measured at upper and side of the hand-dryer, and the settled bacteria were measured on the floor near the hand-dryer. The results showed that using the hand-dryer generated water droplets from the hands. Airborne bacteria upper the hand-dryer and settled bacteria on the floor mainly derived from indoor airborne bacteria, not from hands.

With the current growth in ICT-related business, the machine rooms installed information and communication equipmentsis installed are rapidly increasing in temperature. Since high temperatures damage information and communication machinery, a stable air-conditioning system is indispensable to a stable information and communication service. Therefore,the reliability of an air-conditioning system must be precisely evaluated when planning a stable information and communication service.The reliability of air conditioning and indicators of reliable air-conditioning system design areexamined in actual situations.
