国立歴史民俗博物館及び川崎市市民ミュージアムとの共同研究で、「日本ニュース映画」 (1946 年~ 1951 年:第 1 号~第 312 号) の映像資料とそのナレーションテキストについて、歴史研究及び将来的な展示に利用するためのデジタルアーカイブシステムの構築を行ってきた。今回は完成したシステムについて、その構築過程より明らかとなったシステム設計上の問題点を整理し、併せて汎用性や持続性、及び拡張性等について評価し考察を行う。A joint research project about "Using News Movies for Historical Study" with National Museum of Japanese History in cooperation with Kawasaki City Museum has been conducted. In this research, methods to transform the films of "Nippon News" (from year 1946 to 1951, number 1 through 312) and its transcribed narration texts into a database are explored. The purpose is to facilitate the active utilization of the archive in historical research and future exhibition. In this paper, we report the evaluation result on usability, sustainability and scalability of the completed system.
