The aim of this study is to clear the aspects of spacial images by studying the relation between visual axis, emotional states of hero and spacial images that are affected by them in Kobo ABE's works. We selected the works on the subject of visual axis from his works this time. In our investigation of the relations between visual axis, emotional states of hero and spacial images, we found that spacial image of the hero were affected not only by visual axis and emotional states of hero but also by character which are gainsaid by the position of day-to-dayness in his story. Furthermore, Kobo ABE expresses suspicions to day-to-dayness and the aspiration for character which are gainsaid by the position of day-to-dayness in his story.

This paper discusses architectural space in the movies of German expressionism. German expressionism was a trend of art that existed in German during the early 20th century. This art movement did not have clear order of artistic activities like the Italian Futurism, but was mainly involved with the expression of the inner mind of artists. This trend of art can be seen in the movies of that period. The architecture that appears in those movies reflects form expression by the architects of that time.In this research, we clarified the mode of space expression in the movies by analyzing the form and characteristics of architectural space that appear in the post first world war movies. Our results showed that large space, architectural forms and daily commodities were used in space expression. This mode of space expression played the role of emphasizing the anxiety and the opposition that people had for the society at that time.

Since BC, cities have been constructed on the Mongolian Plateau with the establishment of dynasties, but most turned to ruins. However, the Tibetan Buddhist temples built after the 16th century, which are an indispensable element in the process of Mongolians settling down from nomadic life, have been relatively well preserved in Inner Mongolia. These temples are considered the epitome of the Mongolian economy, culture, art, and construction technology of the time. Therefore, there is great value and significance in researching them systematically. Interestingly, these temples originated from Inner Mongolia, the southern part of Mongolia. The architectural design of these temples has been largely influenced by Chinese and Tibetan temple architecture and is therefore considered an important sample for studying temple architecture in both Mongolia and East Asia. Yet, there is still no systematic study on this subject. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to study the arrangement plan, which is the most important aspect in the design and first stage of temple construction of Inner Mongolian Tibetan Buddhist temples.

In this study, 30 well-preserved temples, that were constructed between the end of the Northern Yuan Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty were selected as the object of this research. Firstly, the temples were divided into different levels according to the historical background of the temples. Further, the temple buildings were also classified based on their functions. Lastly, the arrangement plan has been modeled, which was also classified into a series of different types to further clarify the characteristics of the arrangement of the Inner Mongolian Buddhist temples.

Results-wise, this study suggests that these temples could be divided into three levels: Province Level, League Level, and Banner Level. Furthermore, there were 56 kinds of temple buildings among these 30 temples, which were divided into 3 types according to their functions. In accordance with the main buildings among the 56 classifications, the arrangement form of the temple has shown to be divided into Integrated Type and Separated Type. Importantly, Integrated Type could be divided into more detailed types like Symmetric Type and Asymmetric Type. The characteristic arrangement plans of these temples in different regions have been clearly found through a comparative analysis of each level's temple arrangement of various types. Surprisingly, the reason behind the characteristics has been initially discovered during this study.

In conclusion, this study presents a classification of arrangement characteristics of Buddhist temples of Inner Mongolia, based on arrangement plans in a variety of temples in Inner Mongolia. Finally, this research also provides a foundation for further studies on Mongolian temple architecture.

In this study, we aim to clarify the spatial characterization of film, which is influenced from not only film set but also casting role and a story. In this paper as the first step of the study, we focus on famous sixteen Charles Chaplin's films. To consider the locales of the films, we extract it and set criteria of background locale. Next we analyze the ratio of and the temporal transition of locale description, more over considered the attribute of the casting role. At the result, the character of the street symbolically expressed the feature of the background locales; Slum, Country, City-outside, City-inside and Special. We broke the temporal transition down into three patterns; Stay-type, Wandering-type and Pass-type, and clarified the contrast between main locales of each film by analysis of the locale organization.

This study aims to analyze and clarify the urban and architectural spatial elements of the slums as depicted in the Kenyan urban literature by a renowned Kenyan writer, Meja Mwangi, where the slum areas in Nairobi play the role of stage. We first extracted all the urban and architectural terms from the texts and divided them into ten major categories for analysis. This we did in order to obtain the general urban and architectural space context of the slums. Next, we extracted the various stages used by the author to expound the plot of a story and grouped them into eight different categories for analysis. This we did by counting the total number of words that we used to denote the length of time the author dwelt on that stage to explain a scene. Lastly we re-extracted the urban and architectural terms as they appeared on the stage categories obtained above. From the observations on stage analysis, we were able to identify the major spatial spheres of the slums and their composition.
Our study showed that lifestyle in slums is very simple and temporary. Next, we established that streets, bar and restaurants and the homes are the major spatial spheres in the slums. These are cheap, simple and temporary in form and are composed in coexistence within a rowdy atmosphere. This lifestyle is similar the traditional African lifestyle in the villages prior to colonial rule, showing that lifestyle in the slums could be an extension of the rural lifestyle into the city. Understanding this is will be helpful in making future decisions to solve this problem.

In this study, we aim at the characterization of "Space/Image" of film, which changes dramatically with the passage of the scene in two-dimensional images in particular. As well as we investigate how the historical architects or urbanists have treated the climate, the religion, the politics, the society, the current of the times in architecture and city and how film directors or cameramen design space in movie with various resources and compositions. There are many components of movies that create the images in the films. The components include natural materials, artificial materials, inside and outside settings of living creatures as well as other creatures, colors, and Depth on Images. In this paper, we emphasize the field of Depth that is the main factor of the difference between actual three-dimensional space and two-dimensional images from an architectural point of view. The subjects of this paper are two films, "Summer Time" and "Death in Venice."
