Few studies have investigated the content of introductory statistics classes for medical school students in Japan. Yet, to assure the quality of university statistics courses and develop a standard curriculum for them, it is necessary to assess the current condition of statistics education.Therefore, we collected data on the type of course (i.e., course title and targeted year for the students), field of specialty of the lecturer, course contents, and which textbooks were pre-specified for the lecture by analyzing the syllabi of statistics courses published on university websites. Next, the result of the survey is summarized. Of the 80 universities surveyed, 45 universities provided the online sylabi for the introductory statistics course. We identified 26 different course titles for statistics classes. Thirty courses (73.3%) were intended for first-year students. Eightteen courses (54.5%) provided two credits. The most common field of specialty for statistics lecturers was mathematics (43.2%). Further, we found that the course contents included various subjects related to mathematics. A total of 35 textbooks were specified. Finally, the conclusion is that mathematical concepts seem to be taught more often than statistical practice in introductory statistics classes. Further, there were large variations in each item of analysis except the target year.

In this article, we focus on Saikaku’s posthumous works. Saikaku Ihara (c. 1642~93) is a fiction writer of the Genroku period (1688~1704) in Japan. His researchershave tried to identify his works but problems continue to exist. It remains unclearwhich works were really written by Saikaku especially his posthumous works. This pa-per examines the author of his posthumous works using Random Forests, Boosting andBagging. First, we examined Saikaku and Dansui’s works. A unigram of Japanese par-ticles is the best variable in our research. Among these algorithm, the preferred orderof classification accuracy rate is found to be Random Forests > AdaBoost > Bagging.Then, we examined his posthumous works using the usefulness 9 futures that we gotthe first analysis. It was found that from the result that most chapters are classifiedunder Saikaku, whereas some chapters are classified under Dansui. From what has beendiscussed above, we can conclude that Saikaku’s posthumous works are more likely tobe Saikaku’s than Dansui’s. The result supports the assumption that Dansui relativelyedit the Saikaku’s draft with sufficient accuracy rate however our result also providespotential to has become increasing Dansui’s editing throughout five years.

江戸時代前期の作家井原西鶴 (1642?~1693) の手によるものとされる作品は多数残されているが,西鶴作品には様々な問題が提起されてきた.しかし,現在まで計量文献学の観点から検討された研究はない.本研究では品詞の出現率と助動詞の出現率を主成分分析で分析し,①『好色一代男』 だけが西鶴の著作とする説②西鶴工房説③遺稿集が弟子によって補作や修正されたという 3 つの説の検証を試みた.

西鶴の著した作品は,日本文化の根幹をなす歴史的古典籍とされているが,没後320年になる今日においても西鶴作とされる浮世草子には,西鶴作かどうか疑惑が解明されていない作品も多く存在する.西鶴の第4遺稿集『万の文反古』も著者に関する疑惑が出されている作品のひとつである.本研究では,文章の計量的な分析により『万の文反古』の著者の疑問を検討する.

本研究では,江戸時代前期の俳諧師・浮世草子作者である井原西鶴(1642?~1693)の作品の文章 の特徴について,数量的な観点から検討を行った.西鶴作品は我が国の文学史における重要性から, 多くの国文学者によって思想や記述内容の検討,成立に関する歴史的考証が続けられてきたが,西鶴 作品の中でも浮世草子には,著者や成立年代等について今なお疑問が出され,解明すべき問題が残さ れている.西鶴は浮世草子のほかにも作品を残しており,役者評判記『難波の貌は伊勢の白粉』,浄 瑠璃『暦』『凱陣八島』,地誌『一目玉鉾』の 4 作品は西鶴著である.これらの作品は浮世草子と同 じ散文で書かれていることから,浮世草子に提出されている著者問題を検討する際に有効な情報とな る可能性がある.本研究では,浮世草子,役者評判記,浄瑠璃,地誌とジャンルの異なる作品におい ても,著者が西鶴とされている作品であれば,同一の文章の特徴を示すのかを主成分分析を用いて検 討した.

『好色一代男』 などで知られる江戸時代前期の作家井原西鶴 (1642?~1693) の遺稿集とされる5作品に関しては,門下の北条団水らによって加筆・修正されたのではないかという疑問が出されている.本研究では,遺稿集の 『万の文反古』 に関し,文章の計量分析という観点から,この問題の検討をするため,『万の文反古』 の文章と西鶴作であることが確実な 『好色一代男』 の文章との比較を試みた.また,遺稿集のなかの『西鶴織留』の文章との比較も試みた.
