大阪市内および周辺部に位置する住工混在地域より、立地と業種などの産業特性、住工混在程度の異なる5地区を抽出し、土地利用パターン、並びに、地区内の住民・工場主による住工相互の関係性や評価を明らかにする。具体的には、地区ごとに、住工混在率によって街区を区分化した地区単位の混在パターンと街区内建物配置による街区単位のパターンを図化した。さらに、工場被害意識、住まいや地域に対する意識に関するアンケート調査結果を実施した。それら、土地利用パターンと住工混在に関わる意識との間にいかなる関係があるのかを検討することで、住工共存の特性と成立要件を考察した。

The increasing apartment houses in the Hanshin-Awaji disaster areas exposed the problems in existing residential areas. We selected 4 distinctive districts to implement interview research, field investigations and analyses of materials or maps. First, we illustrated, through regulations and the processes of changing urban areas, the actual conditions of the periods when apartment houses are being built. We clarified the basic points on architectural planning in apartment houses as a next step. As a result, we demonstrated the realities of apartments after the earthquake, the problems on transient remedies and the differences according to site scales, provision systems.

‘Open type preservation and maintenance’ means the situation that maintained soundly by utilizations of the privately-owned houses as tangible cultural property. The purpose of this study is investigating the possibility of it. By the analysis results of interviews to twenty owners, it was cleared as follows.1) By opening the houses, the connections that substance utilizations are made at inside and outside.2) The owners place visitors as outside evaluations and motivation of continuous actions.3) Workshops that develop participants to supporters are effective as utilizing technics for preservations.This shows accelerations of utilizations are one of important preserving measures.

In this study, "renovation that generates a network of people, things, and events" is called Co-Renovation. The effectiveness of Co-Renovation is summarized in two ways. The first is that the openness of the renovation and the house will activate the connection between the people connected through the renovation. The second is that the renovation network will inspire an awareness of community development, and what started out as renovation-related connections will derive into autonomous regional activities. In order to increase the effectiveness of Co-Renovation, it is important to encourage the formation of spontaneous connections, and the factors that contribute to this are summarized.

The purposes of this study are clarifying as follows for reevaluation of &lsquo;bunka-jutaku&rsquo;.<br>1) trend of supply and demand and change of notion war<br>2) position on local development of nongovernment apartment houses<br>3) meaning as family type apartment house<br>The sources of information for the analysis are advertisements of real estate on Asahi newspaper morning (Osaka) (1952-1976). By result of analysis, it was cleared that as for &lsquo;bunka-jutaku&rsquo;, just negative understanding called a kind of &lsquo;mokuchin&rsquo; is insufficient. &lsquo;Bunka-jutaku&rsquo; was platform for trial that was gradual advancement of living convenience and expansion of unit for needs of nuclear family.

The paper is concerned to clarify the supplying processes of private rental apartments through interviews with employees in charge. These processes are among significant elements of residential environments. Our analysis demonstrates that their attitudes towards residential environments differ diversely in the spectrum from one end "large-area-spreading standardized manufacturers" to the other "community-based architect offices." The latter are more concerned with individual business owner's considerations for communities and with contribution to the residential environment formation. Accumulation of rental apartments with these attitudes, resulting from the latter's attempts to distinguish themselves from the former, is promising to endow to rearrange residential environments.
