論文 Articles今日に至るまで詳細なアクセント調査がなされずその分布・体系詳細が明らかにされていなかった福井県あわら市は、ほぼ全域が明瞭なN型アクセントの分布域であることを臨地調査により確認した。南部を中心とした市内の広い範囲には従来三国式として知られてきた二型アクセントが、北部には互いに音声実質が大きく異なる3種類の三型アクセントが分布する。同市北部に位置する北潟湖周辺は、多様なN型に加え隣接する石川県加賀地方のアクセントと類似する多型アクセントも分布し、特にアクセントの地域差が著しい。本稿では、同市に確認された多様なアクセント体系の概要と分布状況を報告する。In Awara city, Fukui Prefecture, no thorough investigations of accent systems have been made, and neither their distribution nor their details have been revealed until today. The author conducted fieldwork and found out that N-pattern accent systems were distributed in almost the whole area of the city. 2-pattern accent systems, known as "Mikuni type," are widespread in the city, especially in the southern part, and three kinds of 3-pattern accent systems which differ substantially from each other in their tonal realization are distributed in the northern part, particularly around Lake Kitagata. In addition to various N-pattern systems, a multiple-pattern system similar to those in the Kaga region of Ishikawa Prefecture was found by Lake Kitagata. In this paper, the author reports the outlines and distribution of various accent systems found in the city.

石川県加賀市塩屋方言は、母音の広狭、子音の有声性といった語の分節音の構造によってアクセント核の置かれうる位置が厳しく制限されるという特徴を有する。語音の構造に加え、語の長さ、語種、形態素境界の位置といった要素も複雑に関与する。これらの特徴は金沢市方言(上野・新田 1982, 1983)など石川県加賀地方の諸方言に広く共通する性質とみられるが、加賀地方南部にありながら子音の有声性がアクセントの分布に密接に関与する点など、従来報告のあった近隣の方言(加賀市大聖寺方言など)との相違点も認められる。論文 Articles

福井市内の沿岸部及び東部山間部の 29 地点でアクセント調査を行った結果、沿岸部の広い範囲が三型アクセント及び二型アクセントの分布域であること、東部山間部には式の対立のない多型アクセントが分布することが確認された。本稿では、各地点のアクセント体系の概略を示すとともに、複合名詞のアクセントや類別語彙との対応関係を対照・比較することで、共時的な性質と歴史的な関係の両面から見た各体系の特徴・相違点を明らかにする。

The authors have discovered various types of three-pattern accent systems exist in the coastal area of the northeast of Fukui Pref., although it was considered in previous studies that dialects in the area have only two accent patterns or they have no lexical distinction of accent. This paper will outline accent systems of the three dialects (Kuriya, Kitagata, Antoh) and describe the characteristics of each dialect regarding domain of accent assignment or accent rules found in the process of suffixation or compounding. Also comparisons between the dialects will reveal what characteristics are commonly shared and which ones are not.
