This paper investigates the causal effect of the majority party's seats share on public investment allocation, using prefectural data from 1981 to 1999. To take endogeneity into consideration, we use the amount of rainfall on election days as an instrumental variable. We show that the majority party has a positive impact on public investment allocation. More specifically, the majority party has positive impacts on "investment in agriculture, forestry, and fishery," investment in the conservation of national land share, and other investment, but has no impact on livelihood investment and industrial investment.

本研究では、われわれは家計行動や家計の労働供給行動に関して家計全体ではなく家計のそれぞれの行動を考慮に入れて分析を行った(たとえば親子同居や家族の金銭的、被金銭的援助について分析を行った。われわれは理論モデルを構築しそれに関して日本のマイクロデータを用いて議論した。われわれは家計のメンバーそれぞれの行動について分析することがunitary modelよりも重要であることを発見した。
