In order to elucidate the homeland of immigrant Yayoi people and Jomon people, we performed morphological, mtDNA, and stable isotope analysis on ancient human skeletal remains of China, Russia, Mongolia, Okinawa and Taiwan, where people' s exchange with the Japanese archipelago in prehistoric age have been assumed. As a result, we obtained a lot of new, useful data regarding the ancients people in these area. And, in Ishigaki Island, we determined the age of human fossil(about 20, 000 years ago) and have contributed to the discovery of the first Pleistocene human fossil in this area.
