The purpose of the present work is to develope the low electric resistance sensor for humidity measurement, because now the hygrometers of electric resistance type have been using the very high electric resistance sensors, and then are very expensive. The d.c. electric resistances of NaCl single crystals were measured by low cost ohmmeter through the electrodes attached on the surfaces of both sides of the creaved NaCl single crystals. The cleaved surfaces have the area of 7.7×7.7 mm^2, and the thickness of crystal was from 1.4 to 5.2 mm. The electrode materials used in this work were nickel, stainless steel and carbon. The measured values of the d.c. electric resistance of NaCl single crystal of 3.1 mm thick ranged between 2 MΩ and 50 KΩ over the range of relative humidities from 45% to 90%. These values did not change for three kinds of electrode materials ; Ni, stainless steel and C.

In Japan,since 1963 the friction welding process has been developed and it has prevailed rapidly. Then lately its benefits and features have been questions general interest for the manufacturing industry. In this circumstance,in order to apply this process comparatively simply, authors has intended to research the trial manufacture of a simple friction welding equipment which has the adaptable mechanism and performance to desirable usage at each production shop or laboratry,etc. For this purpose, we have designed and made a friction welder by rebuilding a used engine lathe and have made several tests and experiments concerning mechanical features and the effects of its performance. The result of this investigation has made it clear that in spite of limitation of the properties of the lathe rebuilt,the new machine is of practical use and nearly coordinates in function with other ordinary friction welders in principle.And it seems to approximately satisfy our expetation.

This paper aims to make clear some obscure points in the birth of Hegel's famous metaphor "Master and Slave". Investigations are made on 1)its origins in Hegel's early theological writings,2)its prime form in his attempts at philosophical system in the Jena period and 3)related ideas behind the metaphor. The results are : 1.Figures of the slave and the term "Slavery" in the early writings are not of the same meaning as in the later works. They are only an analogy and used for expressing political and religious alienation. He borrowed this usage from the contemporary literature of politics which he read in his youth. 2. In the system of Jena period,"Mastery and Slavery" is a category for the primitive relation of individuals,which is natural but not yet true,and is only a personal overwhelming by violence. 3.In the Phenomenology of Mind,it is a metaphor and not a category of any real social status. It has a pedagogical meaning and relates with many important philosophical ideas of his time,e.g. the ideal of human education of Aufklarung, the cultural forming (Bildung),J. Steuart's theory of the economical dependence of individuals in the civil society,and the reminiscence of the Greek democracy.

In this paper,I will deal with Sir Philip Sidney's Astrophil, and Stella,and compare this sequence of sonnets with that of Shakespeare's. I will point out that one of the differences between these two collections of sonnets consists of the appearance and disappearance of Cupid,the God of Love. I will try to show how much importance the imagery of Cupid has for Sidney's poetry,because Cupid is one of the images deriving from Italian sonnets,especially Petrarch's. I have traced the origin of English sonnet sequences from Petrarch in a previous paper,and I'd like to place Sidney's sonnets definitely in that stream. The imagery of eyes is another important topic of my paper,and I will show some evidence of how that imagery is associated with Cupid in Sidney's sonnets. I will also try to solve the mystery of why Shakespeare did not use the imagery of Cupid in his sonnets. In passing, l will briefly indicate that there is a break in the theme of Cupid after sonnet 86 in Astrophil, and Stella,which can be explained as being the point at which there was a break in the writing of the sonnet sequence itself.

》Die gestundete Zeit《 ein lyrisches Gedicht Ingeborg Bachmanns,das das Titelgedicht des Gedichtbandes sei,wird hier mit,, Anmerkungen" versehen. Es handelt sich um eine Art von Resignation ; sie resignierte vor dem Schicksal !? Sie sagte einmal im Jahre 1965 : sie habe darum auch viele Jahre keine Gedichte mehr geschrieben,weil sie eben nicht Gedichte schreiben konne,oder sie konnte es zwar, moge aber nicht,wenn da nichts sei ausser verfugbaren selbst entwickelten Techniken und eben der Luft・・・・・. Es liege eben nichts in der Luft. Nichts in der Luft, worin Reales, ein ,,Biographisches" einstromt. Es tritt ein, das zweifach reflektierte Verhaltnis zwischen beiden Dichtern,namlich zwischen I. Bachmann und P. Celan,das personliche und das lyrische Verhaltnis. Dass zwischen ihnen eine Liebesbeziehung entstand ist kein Geheimnis." Das Gedicht》Die gestundete Zeit,《reflektiert das Liebesverhaltnis und dahinter eine geschichtliche Konstellation, oder zusammen ein Schicksal. Gedichte Celans neigt sich zum Schweigen, dann steht immer bei Bachmann eine Kontinuitat, von dem lyrischen Gedicht zum Roman 》Malina《, besonders darin in der Legende 》Die Geheimnisse der Prinzessin von Kagran《 eine lyrische Kontinuitat. Der Liebe, nicht Lyrik=Gedichte hat Bachmann entsagt.

As for the structure of bridges in these days, there is some tendency to use the plane-framed structures considering the torsional rigidity of their main beams with thinwall of a box section. However, there arise some cases of designing a skew plane-framed structure to be suitable for the conditions of the erection site. Formerly H. Homberg obtained ingeniously the solutions of the plane-framed structures using the group-load (Lastgruppen) method. In this study, this group-load method is applied to the analysis of a skew plane-framed structure considering the torsional rigidity of its main beams, and the influence lines of the bending moments as well as the torsional ones are obtained by a digital computer. The results are as follows : (1) This analysis indicates considerably smaller values of the bending moments than hose without the torsional rigidity. (2) The position of the maximum bending moment is not always at the midspan of main beams. It is affected by the skew angle, the panel length, the spacing of main beams, and other factors.

In is expected that electrical energy storage facilities will be installed for improving load factor. Although there are no constraints for places to install, ordinarily, a site is considered as a possibility if it is one where transmission loss is minimized or where voltage or frequency can he easily controlled by setting up storage facilities. If storage facilities are installed at load buses, electric power would be maintained by supply from the storage facilities to the loads, even when outage should occur at the power source side of the buses in question. In this paper, the authors propose a method to determine the arrangement of storage facilities, for the objective of minimizing the cost of interruption of electrical service, assuming that the facilities are installed at load buses. The problem is formulated and solved by using the dynamic programming method. From the examples, it is confirmed that we can reduce the cost of interruption by the ratio of (maximum output)/(interrupted load), if the corresponding maximum capacity is 2?5 times larger than the mean outage duration time, and also it is confirmed that it is better to install larger storage facilities for larger capacity loads and for loads with larger mean outage duration time.

One or the principal interests western civilization has taken over from the Greeks is rhetoric or techniques of oratory. Rhetoric was a product of democratic society in which the power of speech played an in important part not only in political and litigious scenes but also in social and intellectual life. The present writer examines how Demosthenes, who as an orator and stetesman controlled the fate of Athens, exploited and developed the art of persuasion in one of his earliest public speeches AGAINST ANDROTION.
