Hosei University is a private university of Japan with 15 undergraduate faculties, 15 graduate schools, and 2 professional schools within Tokyo. Hosei University Charter is the founding practical wisdom for freedom, by which graduates have had the ability to live anywhere in the world to contribute to the future of sustainable societies. We are promoting the administrative plan for both learning supports and faculty development with digital transformation (DX) to develop research in our university. Herein, I will introduce the plan for DX-promoting Hosei University to achieve University Charter.

The GPA averages in large classes are lower than those in small classes. This tendency is because large classes must be one-way teaching from teachers to students. For this reason, a system has been developed to realize active learning through group learning, even in large classes, since FY 2018. So far, a proof-of-concept of a group formation system has been conducted to evaluate group composition using a group discussion visualization system, support for LTI 1.3 in the LTI tool, and implementation of group formation using Word2Vec. As a result, initial research objectives were achieved by FY2021. Therefore, this fiscal year is positioned as the final year of our research, and the implementation of a system based on the results of the research to date is conducted. First, a summary of the research results to date and the development of the system reflecting these results are described. The research question is set - “How to implement the research results?” As a result, a system with REST architecture was developed as an LTI tool linked with an LMS and formed groups based on a similarity between keywords using Word2Vec. The significance of using this system in classes and developing a system for research purposes are discussed. For the former, the system’s significance is that group discussions can be realized in large classes without teachers’ and teaching assistants’ administrative work. For the latter, we proposed using the system in the research community, in classes as an OER (Open Educational Resources), and as a reference for companies.

In this study, in order to investigate the material physical properties that affect the delamination of CFRP, impact analysis was performed by changing four types of physical properties. The tensile strength, interlayer shear strength, and Mode I interlayer fracture toughness and Mode II interlayer fracture toughness were used as four kinds of material physical properties.

eポートフォリオを導入にあたっては、eポートフォリオをどのように活用したいのかを定義してシステムを選定する必要がある。しかし、eポートフォリオという言葉の定義自体が広く、多様な利用目的で、システムの導入が検討されている。本稿では、オープンソースのeポートフォリオシステムとして代表的なMaharaとSakai OSPの2つのソフトウェアについて運用経験者の観点から比較し、eポートフォリオにおける活動毎に利用目的にあった実装が可能であるか評価した。

The goal of this study was twofold; examination of (1) whether self-understanding in career choice is fostered through the coursework using visitor employed photography (VEP); and (2) whether this coursework was effective for students on choosing their career. In the first study, whether the coursework using VEP foster self- self-understanding in career choice was examined through longitudinal research. The results showed the changes in categories between pictures taken at time 1 and those at time 2. Half of the students recognized that the categories of the pictures they took had changed. In the second study, the effectiveness of the coursework on career choice was examined with using both subjective and objective indicators. The results showed that 80 % of the students who took the coursework had chosen their career by two months before their graduation. More than 40 % of the students recognized that the coursework using VEP was actually helpful in their career choice. It was suggested that coursework using VEP has certain effect as career educational strategy.
