本学6年次生の読解力を測定し,得られた能力と学内で実施された試験の成績および薬剤師国家試験成績との関係を検討した.読解力の偏差値は中央値が63程度であったが,一部には50に満たない者もいた.5年間の学内総合成績が低い者は『イメージ同定』の能力が低く,国家試験不合格者は合格者に比べて『推論』の能力が低かった.個々の学生の読解力の特徴から,学生を4つのタイプに分けることができた.『推論』,『イメージ同定』,『具体例同定』のいずれもが低いタイプでは5年間の学内総合成績も国家試験模擬試験成績も他のタイプに比べて有意に低かった.以上より,読解力が国家試験の合否に間接的にも影響している可能性が示唆され,薬学部における学生の教育・指導において読解力は考慮すべき基礎能力であると考える.

This study aimed to examine the effects of college baseball pitching on movement, performance, physical strength, and physiological and psychological functions of pitchers. The participants were 10 right-handed male pitchers from the University baseball team. The number of pitches were 15 per inning and 135 per nine innings. Ball speed and accuracy were measured for each pitching. The grip strength, back muscle strength, and standing long jump were measured before and after all pitches. Blood lactate levels were measured before pitching, at the end of the 5th and 7th innings, and at 3rd, 6th, and 9th minutes after pitching. The participant’s heart rate and subjective exercise intensity were measured at the beginning and end of each inning using the Borg scale measurement. Five high-speed cameras were used to capture the pitching motions. The displacement of the center of gravity, lower and upper limb joint angles, and the speed of each segment were calculated. The baseball speed and accuracy did not change with the increased number of pitches. However, the grip strength decreased. Although blood lactate and heart rate were not altered, subjective exercise intensity was increased. The lower limb kinematics remained unchanged; however, elbow height was reduced in the upper limb. These results suggest that highly competitive pitchers experience subjective fatigue with the increased number of pitches, however, they maintain pitch performance, speed, and accuracy without altering whole-body physiology and lower-body function and form.

我々は,熊本大学大学院教授システム学専攻で利用することを意図し,Sakai CLEのeポートフォリオツールであるOSPによるeポートフォリオシステムを開発した.開発にあたっては,本専攻のコンピテンシーベースの授業設計に合わせてシステムの要件定義を行い,OSPを採用したうえで不足した機能要件については,OSPをカスタマイズし,Blackboard Learning System CE6.0からSakai CLEへ自動連携するためのオリジナルツールを開発した.また本専攻のコンピテンシーリストにも対応しており,LMS上の学習成果物はeポートフォリオシステムに自動連携されるため,学生の最終試験の振り返りで利用した結果で有用であることが示唆された.

Weblogなどの新たなコミュニケーションツールの普及により,個人が容易に情報発信する消費者発信型メディア(CGM: Consumer Generated Media)が急激に増加しており,既存のマスメディアからのパラダイムシフトを引き起こしている.さらに,携帯端末から投稿するMobile Weblog(モブログ)の登場により,時間と場所に制約されない情報発信が可能となっている.しかしながら,大量な情報を受発信できるようになったことで,必要な情報を取り出したり,相手に本当に伝えたい気持ちを表現することが困難となっている.このため,電子メールやWeblogなどの日常的に用いるテキストを対象に書き手の感情を抽出する研究が行われているが,感情を表現した語に基づいて抽出するため,感情語を含ないテキストから感情を抽出するために適した特徴量を扱えないなどの課題がある.本稿では,文末に付与する絵文字が感情を表すという仮定に基づき,SVMを用いて学習,感情モデルを構築し,書き手の感情を抽出する方式を提案する.

光照射下及び暗時においてSi量子ドットフローティングゲートMOSキャパシタの容量-電圧(C-V)特性及び過渡I-V特性を調べた。p及びn型Si(100)基板上に作製したAlゲートMOSキャパシタのC-V特性は、Siドットへの電荷注入・放出により、基板のフェルミ準位を反映した対称的なヒステリシスを示すことから、ヒステリシス特性に対する特定のエネルギーを持ったトラップからの影響を無視できる。また、光照射することでMOSFETsの動作状態である反転領域においてSiドットへの電子注入による容量ピークを観測した。このことは、光照射下におけるMOSキャパシタの特性からSi量子ドットフローティングゲートMOSFETsにおける最適な動作バイアス条件が評価可能であることを示す。

The choice of running shoes contributes to the running economy(RE), which is one of the important capacities for distance running performance. Recently, the development of running shoes with high compliance and resilience midsoles and integrated carbon-fiber plates has led to improvements in long-distance running performance. This study aimed to compare the biomechanical variables when wearing carbon-fiber plate running shoes(Nike ZoomX Vaporfly Next%: VN)and conventional running shoes (Nike Zoom Streak 7: ST7)and investigate the factors contributing to the improvement in RE. 10 long-distance runners evaluated the RE, lower limb joint angle, vertical ground reaction force, ground contact time, step frequency, and surface electromyogram with wearing two running shoes(VN and ST7). Notable results were that 1)the VN was a 5.7% on average better RE than the ST7, 2)the ankle joint was more in a plantar flexion position throughout the support phase in the VN than the ST7. Other biomechanical variables were not significantly different between the running shoes. In addition, the most RE improvement(17.2%)runner with the VN compared to the ST7 showed > 1SD difference in dorsi-flexion of the ankle joint, flexion of the hip joint, and an internal rotation of the ankle joint compared to an average of the ten runner’s lower limb joint angle at the support phase. On the other hand, one runner decreased RE(4.3 %)when wearing the VN compared to the ST7. This runner showed > 1SD difference in an internal rotation of the knee joint throughout the support phase compared to an average of the ten runner's lower limb joint angle. These results suggest that the VN provide superior energy returns, which contributes to the improvement of RE, but not all runners can benefit from the improvement of RE by wearing the VN.

〔目的〕本研究は,女性柔道選手の月経期間別の月経随伴症状と生活習慣との関連性について明らかにすることを目的とした.〔対象と方法〕18歳から21歳までの女性柔道選手169名を対象とし,プロフィール,柔道実施状況,生活習慣で構成された質問紙と月経随伴症状に関する質問紙(MDQ)調査を実施した.〔結果〕月経前および月経中のMDQの総得点と平日の睡眠時間との間に負の相関が認められた.平日および休日の睡眠時間が短い女性柔道選手は月経随伴症状の得点が高値を示す関係性が明らかとなった.〔結語〕女性柔道選手において月経前や月経中は月経随伴症状が悪化することから,睡眠時間をはじめとした生活習慣への注意が必要である.

In order to evaluate the residual disabilities caused by chronic acromioclavicular (A-C) dislocations,14 Judo athletes (7 cases of Grade II and 7 cases of Grade III) injuries were reviewed. Clinical examinations and isokinetic muscle strength of internal/external rotation and of flexion/extension in the supine position were examined. In Grade II, there were no clinical symptoms or differences in isokinetic muscle strength between the involved and uninvolved sides.<BR>In Grade III,4 cases had motion pain and 3 cases felt weakness in Judo practice. In Grade III the A-C joints, the directions of instability were horizontal as well as vertical. Work magnitudes of extension (60 deg/sec) and those of external rotation at 30&deg; abduction (60 and 120 deg/sec)were less in the involved side than those in the uninvolved sides. Isokinetic muscle strength of extension and external rotation at 30&deg; abduction (60 deg/sec) in Grade III was smaller than that in Grade II. Characteristically, the involved side of Grade III cases had less power than the uninvolved side in flexion/extension above the horizontal level. In Grade III, the torn A-C capsular and coracoclavicular ligaments produce more unstable A-C joints than in Grade II.<BR>During an arm elevation above the horizontal level, more than 3/4 of a clavicle rotation occurs and is controlled by the trapezoid ligament. Unstable A-C joint causes an unstable scapula, leading to muscle weakness of the shoulder, especially in flexion/extension above the horizontal level. The current study showed that the Grade III had patterns in the flexion/extension which were different in the involved and uninvolved sides.<BR>This could explain why there is weakness above the horizontal level in Grade III injuries. Therefore, an operation is recommended for Grade III A-C injuries of Judo athletes.

The purpose of this study was to compare the limitations between the external rotation (ER) of athletes in overhand sports players (OS) and judo players (JP) with traumatic anterior shoulder instability after a modified inferior capsular shift (MICS)procedure. Thiryt-two shoulders of OS and 38 shoulders of JP were operated on using MICS and were observed for more than 12 months postoperatively.<BR>Twenty-six dominant and 6 nondominant shoulders were examined directly. There were 21 &ldquo;tsurite&rdquo; (lapel grip) and 17 &ldquo;hikite&rdquo; (sleeve grip) shoulders in JP. The average ages at surgery of OS and JP were 22.9 and 21.5 years old, respectively.<BR>All the patients had had an episoders of sports injury. There were no recurrences in OS, but 3 (8%)in JP. In OS,12% of the dominant shoulders and 67% of the no ndominant sides after MICS could perform better their sports activities than preoperatively. The ratios of JP which showed a better performance were 15% of operated &ldquo;tsurite&rdquo; and 52% of the operated &ldquo;hikite&rdquo; sides. The average decrease of ER motion in dominant shoulders of OS was 18.8&deg;in the hanging position and 14.5&deg;in 90&deg;of abduction. In JP, &ldquo;tsurite&rdquo; sides had 3.3&deg;and 4.8&deg;of limitation on 0&deg;and 90&deg;of abduction, respectively. There was on other limitation of ROM in either OS or JP, postoperatively. Based on comparisons of ER motion between OS and JP showing better sport activity, ER at 90&deg;abduction should be 80&deg;for the dominant side of OS and 85&deg;for the &ldquo;tsurite&rdquo; side of JP in order to get a better performance, postoperatively. Thus, the &ldquo;tsurite&rdquo; side in JP should be treated in the same manner as that of the dominant side of OS.

CEAS3 の UI をマルチデバイス ・ モダンブラウザに対応した CEAS10 の開発に続き,CEAS10 のバックエンド部を Ruby on Rails の開発フレームワークを使い,Ruby で書き直すことで実装を最新にした OpenCEAS を開発している.MVC モデルに基づいた設計を充分把握することで View の改修 (CEAS10 の開発),Ruby on Rails によるソースコードの書き換え (OpenCEAS の開発) の 2 段階に分けたモダナイゼーションを実行することができており,1 度に開発する場合と比較して失敗するリスクが少ないと考えるシステム開発手法をとることができた.また,Ruby on Rails の DRY 原則,CoC,REST 原則といった基本理念に沿って開発することでソースコードが最適化され,コード量を大幅に削減できた.また,OpenCEAS のソースコードは,将来オープンソースにすることでシステムが広く普及することを目指しており,公開にあたっては,自由度の高い MIT ライセンスを採用する予定である.

A clinical evaluation using lysholm score was done about micro current electric stimulation (MENS) to the sports injury. The reduction of the pain was seen at the early stage of medial collateral ligament injury of the knee. The motor function was improved at the early stage, compared with the group that doesn't enforce MENS. In 56 days after injury, we evaluate by Lysholm score. In using MENS eight all examples were excellent (mean 97.9), on the other hand, without using MENS excellent was only one example in ten(mean93.0). The effect of MENS was thought to be the one by the injury current. There is a possibility of taking part in the electron transport system for the ATP synthesis.

The chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is a condition of unknown etiology, characterized by an extreme fatigue that is exacerbated by minimal physical activity. Immunological abonormality is prevalent in patients with CFS (e. g. abnormal functions of natural killer cell, macrophage, and lymphocyte) . However, in our knowledge, no study has been reported about neutrophil function, so that we have investigated a neutrophil bactericidal function, luminol-dependent chemiluminescence (L-DCL), in a 24-years old female with CFS. L-DCL under whole blood condition was apparently increased, while L-DCL from separated neutrophils was in normal range. A combination therapy with vitamin C, vitamin E, and eicosapentanoic acid, those are known to be antioxidant drugs and to inhibit a generation of oxygen derived free radicals from neutrophils, apparently improved her symptoms and L-DCL under whole blood condition. These data suggest that symptoms of CFS may be partially caused by inflammatory mediators such as oxygen derived free radicals and the combination therapy may be useful to improve the symptoms of CFS. It may be possible that the measurement of neutrophil bactericidal function is available to evaluate the condition of CFS.

近年、スクリプト言語や自然言語入力によるCG映像作成手法が提案されている。この手法は、ユーザーによる指示内容(「木の横に立つ話者Aをウエストショットで撮影」等)に従って背景・人物CGやCGカメラ等を自動的に配置することにより、きわめて短時間に映像を作成できるのが特徴である。筆者らはシナリオベースの個人用映画制作システムDMP(Digital Movie Producer)を研究開発しているが、映像知識のないユーザーでも簡単に効果的な映像制作ができるように、映像の演出を自動的に行うDMPの演出プランニングエンジンを本稿で提案する。また映像制作技法のノウハウと実写映画の映像分析から、同エンジンで用いる知識ベースの構築方法を提案する。

Most of requirements for hemodialysis hollow fiber membranes depend on their micro pore structure and distribution. Therefore, not only the averaged pore radius but also the pore radius distribution should be noted in the optimal design of hollow fiber hemodialysis membranes. Herein some advantageous characteristics of newly developed cellulose hemodialysis membrane, pore radius distribution pattern of which may be so called “symmetricall gradient structure”, are presented with those of the conventional and well known homogeneous, gradient, and reverse gradient structure membranes.
