Immobilization of invertase on cross-linked polymers consisting of cellulose and polyethyleneimine (Cell-PEI) and the enzymic activity of immobilized invertase were investigated. Invertase was coupled with Cell-PEI by glutalaldehyde. The amount of invertase coupled was independent of reaction temperature and increased with an increase in invertase concentration. Neutral or weak basic conditions were favorable for the coupling reaction.The optimum pH of invertase activity was shifted to acidic side by the immobilization. The activity at the optimum pH was 26% of that of native invertase. The optimum temperature of invertase activity was little affected by the immobilization. The immobilized invertase was repeatedly used without the activity loss.

We propose a modeling method of a human body for dress simulation using computer graphics. The body is modeled by primitives called metaballs which are useful for representing smooth surfaces. The method proposed here has two phases: In the first phase, we generate a human body model by adjusting the input of the metaballs by hand based on measured data obtained by the range data. In the second phase, the standard human model is deformed to other size bodies based on the range data. That is, once a standard human model is generated, various body types can be easily obtained. In the previous work, approximation precision was not enough sufficient. Our method can generate a human body with a small degree of error by using the following procedures: 1) metaballs are roughly set on the cross sections obtained by data sliced from the range data; these cross sections are selected so that they include special features such as nipple and waist point, 2) the metaballs on each slice are optimized by using the Steep Decent Method, 3) After combining these metaballs on slices, total metaballs are optimized using the Steep Decent Method again. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, we show two examples of metaball human bodies based on the range data; a standard body model and a fat body model are deformed from it.

The sensory value for rhythm according to moving skirt were obtained by sensory test. The moving type of skirt is circular arc-reciprocation and skirt is dressed on the nude damy.The obtained results are as follows.(1) The relation between the moving type and sensory value for rhythm.(a) When the velocity of reciprocation is about 40cycle/min, the maximum sensory value for rhythm on each arc angle is obtained, in case of range of arc angle 30°C-170°C.(b) The maximum sensory values are classified into two groups. In the first group, the sensory values on each arc angle increase with increasing the arc angle, and in the second group, those become nearly same in spite of the arc angle.(2) The effect of the kinds of cloth and the constructive factors on skirt for the sensory value of rhythm.(a) In case the train-circumference of skirt is long, the sensory value becomes large.(b) The length of skirt gives little effect on the sensory value.(c) The properties of cloth give a little effect on the sensory value.In case both the length and the train-circumference of skirt are long, the sensory value under thick cloth becomes large, and in case both are short, the sensory value under thin cloth becomes large on the contrary.(d) The sensory value of rhythm becomes large, in case the node on skirt is deep.
