本研究の目的は、申請者がこれまで「作用素論」において研究を進めてきたヒルベルト空間上の作用素不等式及び行列解析の手法をもとにして、量子情報幾何学や量子情報理論などの分野のさまざまな幾何学的様相に絡んだ定量的な評価を中心に考察し、その幾何学的な構造の解明を作用素論の枠組みの中で構築することを目的とする。具体的な研究項目は、・作用素論に基づく量子情報幾何学や量子情報理論における幾何学的構造の解明とその応用・多変数作用素幾何平均の観点から量子情報幾何学や量子情報理論への応用であり、近年急速に発展している量子情報幾何学や量子情報理論への大きな影響や新しい視点を与えるものである。

Obesity is characterized by the excessive accumulation of fat to adipose tissue, which is related to abnormal increasing white adipose tissue (WAT) in the body, and it upregulates the risk of multiple diseases. Here, kuanoniamine C, which is a pyridoacridine alkaloid, suppressed the differentiation of pre-adipose cells into white adipocytes via the modulation of mitochondrial function, and inhibited WAT expansion in the early phase of high-fat-diet-induced obesity model. Pharmacological analysis revealed that inhibition of mitochondrial respiratory complex II, which new target of kuanoniamine C, activated reactive oxygen species (ROS)–extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK)–β-catenin signaling, and this signaling was antagonized by insulin-, IBMX-, and dexamethasone-induced adipogenesis. Therefore, the kuanoniamine C might prevent abnormal WAT expansion even when eating a diet that is not calorie restricted.

Outdoor play is important for children because it is fun, improves communication, and provides adequate exercise. In addition, the environment and conditions for traditional play have changed due to the coronavirus pandemic, making it necessary to consider new rules of play. In this study, we focus on tag, one of the games, and consider rules that can reduce the differences in physical advantage and disadvantage due to foot speed. In this study, we consider three rules. (1) the “number selection behavior” rule (R1-1), in which the chaser actively pursues the runner who has been the chaser less frequently; (2) the “replacement condition A” (R2-1), in which the replacement condition between the chaser and the runner is multiple touches; and (3) the “replacement condition B” (R2-2), in which the replacement condition between the chaser and the runner is one touch and a rock-paper-scissors victory by the chaser. We analyze the effects of these three conditions on the game of tag using multi-agent simulation.

In this paper we obtain a new method to compute the correlation values of two arbitrary sequences defined by a mapping from F4n to F4. We apply this method to demonstrate that the usual nonbinary maximal length sequences have almost ideal correlation under the canonical complex correlation definition and investigate some decimations giving good cross correlation. The techniques we develop are of independent interest for future investigation of sequence design and related problems, including Boolean functions.

宮城県北西部の大崎地域を対象とし、多時期のTerra/ASTER衛星画像を利用して農地の作付け分類を試みた。正規化植生指数(NDVI)の分析により、耕作地では作物によってNDVIが特有の時系列パターンを示し、遊休農地では管理法や遊休後の経過年数などによってNDVIがさまざまな値を示すことを明らかにした。この分析結果を踏まえ、主にNDVIに基づいて判別が容易な水域・森林・都市域を先に判別分類し、次に分類されなかった農地等の部分を判別が容易な分類項目から順次、水稲・大豆・麦類・草地・ゴルフコース・遊休農地に分類し、作付けマップを作成した。遊休農地と山間地森林の草地や河川周辺の荒地等を区分するために、50mDEMおよび25000分の1地形図を用いた解析を加えた。作付けマップから求めた各分類項目の推定面積を農林業センサスにおける統計面積と比較した結果、水稲と大豆畑では良く一致していたが、麦類や草地、遊休農地では乖離が認められた。

This study examines the temporality of the experience of sports movements. First, it makes a quantitative comparison of sports based on Nakai's argument, and discusses how qualitative objects of sports movements are transformed into quantitative objects through quantitative comparison. Second, this study considers the objective and quantitative time in sports and argues the relationship between the means and the end. Finally, this study discusses the subjective and qualitative recognition of time in sports and the experience of sports movements as “semantic generation.”The results of this examination were as follows: 1)  Sports are indicated as quantitative concepts such as scores and records. These quantitative aspects of sports are compared quantitatively according to the elements of competition in sports. Sports movements are also measured and analyzed quantitatively based on quantitative comparisons. Even qualitative aspects of sports movements such as kinesthesises of players can be transformed into quantitative data. 2)  The tendency for quantitative transformation reflects the recognition of time in sports. Both objective and quantitative time are important. Time proceed continuously in a straight line from the present to the future. The present time becomes the means to an end (the future). Similarly, sports movements become a means to an end. The results of sports movements (i.e. the future) such as scores, records and winning, or health and socialization, are more important than practice of sports movements (the present). 3)  Differences in time recognition exist in sports. The subjective and qualitative recognition of time is called vertical time. For vertical time, the moment of practicing sport (the present) is essential and is not a means to an end (the future). In the moment of sports movements, physical experience as “semantic generation” arises.This study concludes that the physical experience as “semantic generation” in the moment of sports movements (the present) is the essence of sports. However, this qualitative experience of sports movements is likely to be a means to an end (the future). Because qualitative aspects of sports movements are transformed into quantitative aspects, they are at all times dependent on the element of competition in sports.

本研究では、代表的罹患臓器である唾液腺を解析し、特異なT細胞、B細胞、マクロファージ(Mφ)のサブセットが病態形成に関わっていることを明らかにした。しかし、詳細な病態形成の分子機構や病因は判っていない。そこで、本研究では、従前の研究成果を基盤とし、IgG4-RDの病因を解明し、新規治療法開発の基盤を築くことを目指す。第1にサブセット間の相互作用を解析して病態形成機序を明確にし、第2に発症に関わるT細胞とその認識抗原を同定し、第3に特異なMφを遺伝子導入により誘導したマウスを同定した抗原などで刺激することにより病態を再現する疾患モデルマウスを完成させる。

要旨:核内受容体は様々な脂質を天然リガンドとする転写因子で,ヒトではレチノイン酸受容体,ビタミンD受容体,性ホルモン受容体,副腎皮質ホルモン受容体,および甲状腺ホルモン受容体など48種類が同定されている。核内受容体の転写活性は,基本的には特異リガンドとの結合によって調節されているが,実際にはリン酸化などの翻訳後修飾も影響する。我々は最近,細胞間接着から核内受容体のセリンリン酸化に至る新規のシグナル伝達経路を発見し,これが幹細胞分化および子宮体癌と乳癌の悪性形質増強に寄与することを明らかにした。本総説ではその一連の研究を紹介する。

In the early nineteenth century, a strong state—commonly called the Sokoto Caliphate—was established by a Fulani Muslim intellectual, ʿUthmān b. Fūdī (d. 1817) and his jamāʿa (community), as a result of their large-scale jihad in Hausaland and its surrounding areas. Since Islamic law was enforced as one of its governing principles, ʿUthmān and the other members of the early Sokoto leadership wrote numerous Arabic works, in which they discussed various legal issues to justify their jihad and governance from the viewpoint of the divine law. Al-Qawl al-manʿūt fī al-nafaqa wa-l-qasm fī al-mabīt (the Described Statement about Maintenance and the Allotment of Overnight Stays) was one of such writings composed by ʿUthmān’s son, Muḥammad Bello (d. 1837). Muḥammad Bello became the second caliph of the Sokoto Caliphate after his father’s death in 1817. Like his father, he was a prolific scholar, and his writings covered various religious and intellectual themes. Among such themes, al-Qawl al-manʿūt—comprising four questions, their answers, and a conclusion—addressed legal issues relating to polygamy and concubinage. According to Islamic law, free male Muslims are permitted to have up to four wives simultaneously. Moreover, the possession of female slaves as concubines is authorized. Considering these principles, Muḥammad Bello discussed legal stipulations on the maintenance (nafaqa) of wives and overnight stays (mabīt) with them and the concubines. Referring to eight manuscripts and a published handwritten text, I edited this short legal treatise. Considering that it was written by one of the most influential political leaders of the early Sokoto Caliphate, this edited work can contribute to the examination of the legal, political, and social aspects in early nineteenth-century West Africa.

Japanese valerian is a herbal medicine with a long history that continues from the first edition of the Japanese Pharmacopoeia (JPI) (1886) to the present JPXVI (2011). This research focuses on the standards and test methods of this item in JPI (1886) to JPXVI (2011), and the pharmacological evaluation of this item in Japan was considered while comparing it with the result of transitions of the standards and test methods of European valerian (valerian root) in the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) described in a previous report and in the British Pharmacopoeia (BP). It can be said that the standards and tests of this item in today's JPXVI (2011) have been able to maintain quality. However, based on comparison with today's USP and BP, the JPXVI (2011) standards and tests do not reflect the surprising progress in pharmacology that has been made in recent years and do not sufficiently reflect the circumstances of this item that are clarified to some extent in the surrounding information. For these reasons, the pharmacological evaluation of this item in the JP is considered satisfactory. It is thought that there is relatively low demand for this item in Japan compared with the demand for valerian root in Europe and America. That is, it is thought that this item is not highly evaluated in Japan compared to the pharmacological evaluation of European valerian (valerian root) in Europe and America. It was found that the pharmacological evaluation in Japan has not been high in recent years although this item received high appraisal before World War II worldwide in terms of quality. However, there are expectations for higher evaluations in the future in respect to its effect and safety as a natural medicine.

In mental clinics, bromide agents such as potassium bromide were often once used as therapeutic drugs to treat psychiatric disorders. They were also given as hypnotic, sedative and antiepileptic medicines. However, the appearance of new medicines has resulted in them not being used for these purposes in recent years. Potassium bromide is still continuously listed in today's JP and BP. This suggests that it maintains value as a basic medicine for treating mental disorders in the history of psychotropic medicines. However, regarding the standards and test methods for potassium bromide in the present JP, as a result of a comparison between the USP of the same age, BP and EP, a gap is seen, and this is very regrettable. The exchange of art and scientific information related to medical sciences with foreign countries is becoming more active today. Therefore, scholarly information overseas should be collected and reflected in the standards and test methods for potassium bromide adopted in the JP of Japan. The author believes that the standards and test methods comparable to those at the international level should introduced. On the other hand, potassium bromide was recently relisted by USP29 (2006) for the first time in approximately 50 years. Moreover, instrumental analysis was introduced as part of the test methods in BP2013; that is, an epoch-making revision was made in terms of test methods. It is assumed from this that there is a sign of new change regarding the existence of potassium bromide as hypnotic, sedative and antiepileptic medicines, and its utility value. It is believed that the sign of change in view of the utility value and pharmacological evaluation probably arose with the new clinical knowledge that potassium bromide was used to treat a baby seriously ill with myoclony epilepsy, as well as to treat a dog with epilepsy. The author felt that the course of history for the cultivation of Angelica is very similar to that of Valerian in Japan, and therefore conducted a philological investigation regarding the history of Angelica. It is believed that the historical value of Valerian could be increased by evaluating the pharmaceutical history of Angelica. First, a search of the transition in standards and test methods of Angelica, as indicated in JP, was carried out. After that, research on the origin of the drug (area of production), which is considered important in the evaluation of quality, and the relation to demand as a crude drug were considered. As the result, it was found that the origin and cultivar of Angelica, as the standard product of JP, were revised during the distribution of Angelica in Japan' s crude drug market. This was also influenced by a change in circumstances resulting from the popularity of Chinese medicine. The scope of Angelica plant origin was expanded when JP IX (1976) was revised. However, the properties of crude drugs, including appearance, internal geometry, and contents such as ash, acid-insoluble ash, and mare ethanol extract of Angelica, were the standard for Yamato Angelica, the same as before. This data remains to be valid, and is exists in the current volume, JP XVII (2016). It is possible to adjust the contents of ash, acid-insoluble ash, and mare ethanol extract by devising ways to prepare the crude drug after harvesting. However, the properties of a crude drug are a fixed standard that cannot be changed by adjustment. The standards of the original Angelica plant is limited to only two species: Yamato Angelica and Hokkai Angelica, as reported in JPXIII-2 (1997). The difference in the properties of the two species as a crude drug are the appearance, such as color and shape, aromaticity and taste. There is also a notable difference in part of the internal geometry. The property standard of Angelica stated in JP is the standard for evaluating its quality. Therefore, if the properties of the crude drug Hokkai Angelica, or the differences between the two species, are presented in JP, it is believed that the quality evaluation for Angelica would be more specific. Due to the progress of plant chemistry studies in recent years, the constituents of Angelica have been identified and chemical structure determined. The active elements have also been clarified and the assay system established. The author believes that the results of these plant chemical building-block studies will be contribute to judging the quality of Angelica and providing a reliable chemical quality evaluation method.
