t-ブチル基を保護基に用い,m-キシレン→5-t-ブチル-m-キシレン→2-クロル-5-t-ブチル-m-キシレン→2-クロル-m-キシレンの経路で-m-キシレンから2-クロル-m-キシレンを合成した。最終段階でt-ブチル基の受容体にm-キシレンを用いれば5-t-ブチル-m- キシレンが再生し, 循環操作が可能となる。この反応につき各種のルイス( Lewis ) 酸触媒を用いてこのt-ブチル基の転移の容易さを検討した。その結果塩化アルミニウムが触媒として最も有効で,塩化鉄(III),塩化アンチモン(V)は脱t-ブチル化反応の触媒と同時に,それによって再生された5-t-ブチル-m-キシレンのクロル化剤としての作用も示し,2-クロル-m-キシレンの見かけ上の収率は高くなる。

The currently available methods via allylic organometallic compounds for the stereoselective synthesis of homoallyl alcohols are summarized. Usually, Z-allylic organometallics give erythro adducts upon treatment with aldehydes, while E-derivatives afford threo products. Interestingly, allylic stannanes react with aldehydes in the presence of BF3·OEt2 to give erythro products regardless of the geometry of the double bond. A short and stereoselective synthesis of the Prelog-Djerassi lactone is realized via this method. The metal effect on the stereoselection of enolate reaction is also summarized. Zirconium and tin enolates give erythro aldols irrespective of the enolate geometry. α-Mercurioketones undergo a. rapid reaction with aldehydes in the presence of BF3·OEt2 to give the kinetic erythro aldols. These erythro selections are explained by the acyclic mechanism.

Trials for exploitation of solar cell using organic dye substances were undertaken. The natural organic dye substances isolated from spinach leaves, grape skin, and synthetic dyes such as porphyrin derivatives were examined as the typical of organic dye substances. Fine powdered titanium oxide grains adsorbed the dyes described above were sintered on fluorine-doped stannic oxide glass. The amounts of electricity generated by prepared solar cells were measured by using a hand-made solar box.

The natural organic dye substance isolated from broccoli leaves, and synthetic dyes such as 1,10-phenanthroline dicarboxylic acid derivatives were examined as the typical of organic dye substances. Fine powdered titanium oxide grains adsorbed the dyes described above were sintered on fluorine-doped stannic oxide glass. A variety of devices for preparing solar cells was done to result a solid and constant value of produced electricity.

Trial for exploitation of solar cell using organic dye substances were undertaken. 17 synthetic porphyrins and 4 ratural porphyrins were estimated to use as a dye of dye-sensitized TiO_2 solar cell. To increase the PM(power max) of phytochlorin cell(F-cell) that has highest capacity among the porphrin cells mentioned above, two approach were chosen. One was to make use of auxiliary substances such as hydropuinone, quinone A, L-(-)- phenylalanine which increased PM of F-cell. PM enhancement up to 47% was realized. The other approach was to make use of synergy effect of other porphyrin (red) and auxiliary substances such as hydroquinone. There components system enhonces PM of F-cell up to 60%. Prelininary experiments were executed to make hybrid solar cells composed of organic sensitizers and inorganic materials such as phtalocyanine-porphyrin-silicon of hybrid cells.
