This paper focuses on the online comic "No Matter How I Look at It, It's You Guys' Fault I'm Not Popular!", analyzing the mind and behavior of the heroine Tomoko Kuroki, a high-school girl, especially in Book 8-9, "School Excursion" part, in which she could form friendship with others. The discussion develops to the realization of Hiruko(Leech-child)'s return, the largest issue of Japanese mythodology argued by Hayao Kawai as his lifework, and tries to make an exciting or even a little bit strange hypothesis.

Young people nowadays often feel anxious as they cannot ensure the basis of their existence. Thinking of the reasons, it is necessary to focus on qualitative changes in family, community, and personal relationship of Japanese society. The author analyzed the issue through the movie My Neighbor Totoro directed by Hayao Miyazaki, which portrays what life was like in the past. The movie has a detailed description of the interaction with nature and supernatural force, which was characteristic in traditional Japanese society, and the various protective power for children to underpin human existence. However, its theme is not just for tired people to feel comfort. After we confirm the basis of our existence through this movie, we ourselves need to make every effort for mutual commitment in real−world society and relationship, going beyond the fantasy.

The author dealt with the psychologies and activities of Japanese high school students 50 years ago through watching a movie in the graduate course of training clinical psychotherapists. Graduate students were asked for feedback in self-assessment forms and free descriptions if they could empathize with the movie characters. As a result, most students could understand empathically, although some details about the past daily lives were hard to comprehend. However, the empathy was tend to be difficult if they could not found common elements in their own experiences and feelings. It is necessary to train the students' capacity of adequate understanding if they have little in common with the situations.

This paper discusses interviewing skills, which is the most basic for psychological support practitioners, focusing the improvement method during the graduate course and the mind frame before studying theories, explaining as simply as possible. Until the first case interview, the graduate students are expected to stepwisely achieve the following three issues: (1) to turn the main concern from "their own mind" to "the mind of the others", (2) have enough practice of thinking "the mind of the others" in the other person's position, (3) to change the evasive attitude towards psychological communication with others and to think the communication itself as comfortable. Additionally, what is important for the desirable interviews is not to immediately achieve perfection in improving skills, but to keep resilience in recognizing, resolving the problems in a straightforward way.

In this paper, the author analysed the difficulties and its reasons of beginners in the training of therapists, and tried to find out their concrete and effective methods. On the results of investigation, the beginners appeared to have problems of the decline in communication skills and imagination, and of the lack of awareness as experts and self−affirmation. As the suggestions for solving these issues, the trainers are necessary to ease the student's anxieties with communications in giving the ideas of therapists and clear−cut training goals before the practice.
