This paper is the investigation and the analysis about the rate of recognizable places in prefectures and typical symbolic elements that are associated with each prefecture.The rate of recognizable places is high at both the northern and southern ends of Honshu, both the northern and southern ends of Kyushu, and the prefecture which has two big cities or the largest city.And the rate is low at prefectures without symbolic elements, especially at North Kanto, and the part of the prefecture in side of the Sea of Japan.And the tendency of the taste is closely connected with “attractive”, “liveliness” and “comfortable”.

The purpose of this study is to show the possibility of preservation and revitalization method of the shopping side alley which located in the old town Tokyo. 17 neighborhood shopping streets were selected in the Tokyo wards areas which have above 20% of share for aged residents in the population. 17 streets were categorized into 6 pattern of shopping street space structure systems. Inherent characteristics are showed that shopping side alleys which called Yokochou-shoutengai are served daily necessaries to residents especially aged peoples who live in the convenient walking distance to the alleys. It is necessary to maintain the inherent characteristics of the Yokochou side alley that residents cultivate the alley space as their communication space for the community.

This report describes investigation and analysis of an old category II exclusive residential district and land use pattern of residential district. Even within the same use district, the land use pattern could differ greatly depending on the height and bulk zoning and relationship with stations. Also, with respect to the strip zoning system district, number of storeys of building and ratio of fireproof buildings tend to be higher, though the values there of could differ depending on contents of height and bulk zoning and district conditions.

This paper is the investigation and the analysis about the image and trend taste of the festival. One’s favorite festival is “Sapporo snow festival” at men and women. The woman likes dancing in festival. The women’s conscious of trend taste about festival is high rate better than men. The image keywords are “happy”, “light” and “active” at trend taste of the festival.

王道(幹線古道)の踏査、および沿道遺構の実測を含むデータの収集により、(1) 王道及び遺構の建築的編年指標から建造年代の確定、技術的特徴の解明、これによる地域別の差異、技術者集団の存在について、(2) 各道の整備の編年、役割についての考察(Bルートでは現タイピマーイへ、Cルートではプリア・ヴィヘア、現ラオスワット・プーなどへの聖地巡礼、Dルートでは鉄資源の確保や生産地を結ぶなど)が可能となった。
