This paper describes the numerical simulation results of tidal current and water exchange in the Seto Inland Sea. Two kinds of computational conditions were prescribed at the open boundary. One is the simple sinusoidal waves of M2 component for Case-1, and another is the composite waves by 28 tidal components for Case-2. Then water exchange computations between the Seto Inland Sea water and Pacific Ocean water were carried out by using the computed flow field of Case-1. In this study, following conclusions are obtained. The computed tidal harmonic constants of M2 component for both cases agree with the observed harmonic constants of M2 component. Around narrow strait, tidal residual flow of Case-2 is larger than that of Case-1 because of the non-linearity of tidal current. The particles thrown into the computed flow field of Case-2 are more dispersed and transported than those of Case-1 by the influence of the non-linearity of tidal current and tidal residual flow. Comparing the computed salinity distribution with the observed salinity distribution, the case of the diffusion coefficient of 500 m2/s gives the most appropriate result. Using these computed flow field and substance dispersion result, the residence time of the Seto Inland Sea is estimated about 200 days.

本研究では,大都市沿岸域に造成された潟湖型の干潟である「東京港野鳥公園・潮入りの池」において,夏期2潮汐間の水質調査を3年間行い,干潟域における窒素・リン・クロロフィルαの収支,動態について検討した.また,飛来した水鳥の個体数と,底生動物の現存量の調査を行い,干潟域の生物相を把握した.調査の結果,当該干潟は夏期に,リンの供給源,窒素・クロロフィルαの消費源として機能しており,堆積物と直上水間の無機態窒素,リンの交換フラックスは干潟全体の収支の主要因であることが明らかになった.干潟域には年間を通してカワウの飛来数が数多く観測された.水鳥が干潟系外へ持ち去るTN量は最大でも,夏期に水中から除去されるTN量の12%程度,TP量は最大でも隣接海域へ流出するTP量の10%程度と,その値は小さかった.

It is specially analyzed about the problem of the pitch of stationary sound in the acoustic analytic subjects of brass instruments. It is modeled as a combination of the conical horn elements for the trumpet. First, the end of mouthpiece is set as the closed end, the resonance frequency is calculated as a characteristic value of the modeled trumpet by the technique of Cavity Resonance. Next, when it is played, the effective input impedance at the end of mouthpiece and those relative angles are calculated. Based on these characteristics, quantitative examined considerations are added to the playing methods, and a blowing pattern is set up. Furthermore, it is calculated the virtual additional length for the end of mouthpiece. It is examined correspondence with the playing methods of brass players. This playing method is taken into consideration, the CAD system for the pitch design of trumpet is built, and a suitable example to the pitch design is shown, with the utility of the system. The validity of a blowing pattern is shown.

Amagasaki Harbor is enclosed coastal sea. Therefore water in a harbor basin is stagnant, and the water quality is deteriorated. In this study, we carried out hydraulic model experiments in order to enhance the water exchange of Amagasaki Harbor. The channel making technique is very effective to strengthen the flow in Amagasaki Harbor. This is because a Yodo River flows into harbour basin. And it is also highly effective to enhance water exchange of the harbor water.
