The authers have developed a method for satisfying resultant boundary conditions on each divided boundary by discrete point forces. This method stands high accuracy and short calculating time at the same time. However, to obtain highly accurate solutions, it is necessary to put the point forces at the optimum locations. In this paper, the optimum location of point forces were obtained through several problems in 2D or 3D. The optimum location, that is, the optimum ratio of devided boundary length to distance between point force and boundary is 0.5∼0.7 in the case of notch problems and is 1.5 in the case of crack problems.

Using a series of base oils of different viscosity grades, rotating bending fatigue tests of 0.34 % C steel plain specimens were carried out to examine the effect of oil environments on the fatigue behavior. Although the effect of oil is hardly observed in one grain size crack initiation process, its effect appears in the crack propagation process. As the main effects of oil, two actions are considered ; that is, the isolation of the atmosphere and the oil wedging action. The propagation of a crack smaller than 0.1mm is controlled mainly by the former effect. For a crack larger than 0.1mm, its behavior is controlled mainly by the latter effect. On the other hand, the effect of oil on the fatigue limit is very small.

半無限板の直線縁またはその付近に存在するき裂同志またはき裂と切欠きの干渉効果を体積力法によって計算した. 取扱った問題は, (a)遠方で引張りを受ける半無限板中の, (i)V形切欠き底のき裂, (ii)2個の縁き裂, (iii)先行き裂を伴う縁き裂, (iv)先端にだ円孔を有する縁き裂, および(b)き裂面に多項式で表される分布荷重を受ける縁き裂である. 最後の問題は切欠き底のき裂, 複数個の縁き裂などの応力拡大係数を近似的に求めるのに有効である.

This paper is concerned with the beneficial effects due to additional holes or indentations. Two indentations facing each other with the tip of a crack is especially effective in retardation of crack propagation. The effects of the indentations can be estimated approximately from the existence of residual stresses produced by the indentations.

本研究では日本人に多い胃がんと肺がんに焦点をあわせ、既に整備済みのマンモグラムデータベースと併せて、主ながん検診用画像のデータベース化の整備を行うことを目的としている。本研究は2年度にわたるが、この間に整備されたデータベースについて以下にその概要を述べる。胃X線二重造影像:本データベースは診断の難易度や病変の種類などのバランスがとれるように選別されたFCR像76枚から成る。このうち65枚が異常陰影を含む。胸部CT像:本データベースでは、肺がん検診に利用されるスライス厚10mmのものと、精密な検査に用いられるより薄いスライス厚のもの2種類を含む。肺がん検診用は症例数70症例であり、25症例が肺癌症例である。精密検査用については、症例数7症例で、いずれも肺癌症例である。胸部単純X線像:本データベースは間接撮影像50症例、直接撮影像50症例から成る。工学サイドの利用者であっても、一般的には撮影法やその読影法の基礎もわからないのが普通である。そのため、アルゴリズムの組立てに助けとなるように、それらに関する解説を用意したり、専門医のスケッチ画や診断所見を各画像ごとに与えるように努めた。

Statistical analysis is necessary in evaluating the fatigue life of structures. In the present study, rotating bending fatigue tests were carried out on specimens with two small blind holes of a 5052 A1 alloy in order to investigate the distribution characteristics of the fatigue crack growth life based on the small-crack growth law dl/dN= C_1σ^n_al. The crack growth rate in each specimen was determined uniquely by σ^n_al, therefore the crack growth life can be predicted by the small-crack growth law. On the assumption that the value of n is a fixed one and the value of C_1 is a random variable, the distribution of the crack growth rate can be evaluated through the value of C_3 in the relationship dl/dN=C_3l. C_3 follows a Weibull distribution approximately. The calculated distribution of the ocracy growth life based on the small-crack growth law and the distribution of C_3 was in good agreement with the experimental results.

政府のe-Japan計画や厚生労働省の保健医療分野のグランドデザインには,医療情報を社会基盤化する方針が記述されている.医療機関相互間で医療情報を共有化するためには,記述方式の統一,利用方法,個人情報保護などの課題を解決しなければならない.そこで,我々は,客観性の高い指示データや検査結果値がその中心的役割を担っているオーダリングシステムを基盤にして,医療機関連携機能の構築を行った.本報告では医療機関相互間で共有化した医療データを診療の現場で有効に活用する方式を提案する.この方式は,仮想診療科を導入することで,診察室システムにおけるHCIモデルの適用範囲を,他医療機関のデータに拡張したものである.仮想診療科は,システム上にだけ存在する診療科であり,他の医療機関の指示データと自院の指示データをシームレスに取り扱うことを可能にする.さらに,他の医療機関の指示履歴の表示や再利用を容易にする.我々は,1999年9月より,診察室システムに仮想診療科方式を実装したオーダリングシステムを用いて,医療機関連携の実験稼動を継続している.この医療機関連携は,病院と診療所の連携による医療の分業に効果をあげている.
