The aim of this paper is to examine the characteristics of school culture and graduates of Kiryu Koto Kogyo Gakko by analyzing a dispute on language education which was developed on the organ of alumni association from Showa 4 through into 5. The opinions of two graduates of this school were opposed to those of two teachers of the school who were both graduates of Koto Gakko. In those days, the differences between the characteristics of the school culture of Kiryu Koto Kogyo Gakko and Kyoyoshugi culture of Koto Gakko were increasing. It is conceivable that the distinction strategy of the graduates of Kiryu Koto Kogyo Gakko toward the graduates of Koto Gakko emphasized the practicality of language education under these circumstances.
