The purpose of this report is (1) to clarify the structure of recollection, (2) to search for the relationship between mental scenery of children and area characteristics, from a classification of it and the factor of recollection. For this purpose, the questionnaire survey was done. The results obtained are as follows. a) Mental scenery in the places to like is "The open place system" "The education system", and dislike is "The traffic system" "The nature system". b) Recollection's factor of in the places to like is "Action" "Impression", and dislike is "Impression" "Existence". c) Seto City and Nagakute Town were classified into seven according to area characteristics. Mental scenery and recollection's factor of children are influenced by area characteristics.

本研究では,住宅居室を対象に,吹抜け空間形状と空間形状意識,印象評価の3つの関係性を求め,上層居室からと下層居室からでそれらがどのように異なるかを明確にすることを目的とする。 実験は,1 /10縮尺模型を用い,居室の印象を11評価尺度による SD 法で評価した。 分析の結果,吹抜け空間を評価する尺度は,上層・下層居室ともに「スケール性」「快適性」「関係性」「特異性」の4軸であった。空間形状意識では,下層居室からは上層居室からに比べ,レベル差に大きく影響された。上層・下層居室からの空間形状意識は,ともに「空間重複型」が最も快適な空間となった。吹抜け空間においては快適な居室を計画するためには,一体的であるより,ある程度の分離感をつくる必要がある。

In this paper, the concept of the image structure was made clearer, and the research on the poetic-image structure was executed. The research technique and the procedure were also established through investigating. In addition, the validity of the idea concerning the characteristic of poetic-image structure was verified. As a result, eight types of the poetic image structure were found. The type of the poetic image structure was named 'poetry pattern of the image'. The hypothesis concerning a poetic image structure was verified though not quite satisfactorily.

Poetic-imagery means a special and environmental element which gives rise to a strong impression and activation of consciousness. We cant find any precedent of the study on poetic-imagery in the past papers. It is important that we search a study method of poetic-imagery by ourself. In this paper we tried to look below the surface of the poetic-imagery and search the method from the view point of the image structure. As a result, we acquired the guide of the study method.

The purpose of the present study is to clarify the relation between disorder, regularity and attraction of the street view in consideration of individual differences. After several studies, we had the following results : (1)Individiual differences in perception of visual disorder and regularity were not found. (2) Visual disorder and regularity are contrary to each other. (3) Preference of the street view can be classified into four groups : each group has a distinctive relation to visual disorder and regularity, as well as to the function of the street.

The aim of this study is to clarify the changes in water supply systems and their utilization at Motokukuri district in Kani city. The following results were obtained: (1) The main part of water supply systems in this area was built up to the Edo period, and then extended gradually to cover the whole town. (2) Irrigation equipment was daily used by residents until around 1985. Even today, they are used for outdoor activities. However, the community use of water has almost disappeared. Finally, (3) authors noticed different problems related to safety, such as flood disaster.

The purpose of this paper is to collect the research material for urban planning from the analysis of the composition, impression and attractiveness of urban scenery based on the variation of viewpoint heights. In this study, authors analyzed the sketches that subjects drew in a limited amount of time. Sketches represent an effective method that reflects the instantaneous perception and impression of the urban scenery and the city image. The results of the analysis showed that the attractive urban sceneries are different depending on the viewpoints heights and have a strong elationship with the visual composition.

In order to improve visual recognition of stairs in upward and downward motion, sensory test was carried out by 10 vision-impaired persons. The result shows that the appearance of finishing materials (for example, combinations, sizes, colors) have influence on visual recognition of stairs. The most influential element was the ratio of the brightness between border and tread. The second most influential element was the width of border at tread (in case of going down), and the width of border at tread and rise (in case of going up). We proposed a standard plan of stair elements for good visual recognition.

This study aims to grasp the situation and the application to the Twilight school. It is one of the children's outside school clubs. We made an questionnaire to the present activities, using conditions of the facilities. Then as a result, we get following: (1) The Twilight school is effective and is excellent as the children's outside school clubs. (2) The effective activity depends on the management of the person in charge and the responsibility of him is important. (3) The application to another government becomes possible by that the factor of the person and the factor at the facilities are serviced.
