本研究では,住宅居室を対象に,吹抜け空間形状と空間形状意識,印象評価の3つの関係性を求め,上層居室からと下層居室からでそれらがどのように異なるかを明確にすることを目的とする。 実験は,1 /10縮尺模型を用い,居室の印象を11評価尺度による SD 法で評価した。 分析の結果,吹抜け空間を評価する尺度は,上層・下層居室ともに「スケール性」「快適性」「関係性」「特異性」の4軸であった。空間形状意識では,下層居室からは上層居室からに比べ,レベル差に大きく影響された。上層・下層居室からの空間形状意識は,ともに「空間重複型」が最も快適な空間となった。吹抜け空間においては快適な居室を計画するためには,一体的であるより,ある程度の分離感をつくる必要がある。

In this paper, the concept of the image structure was made clearer, and the research on the poetic-image structure was executed. The research technique and the procedure were also established through investigating. In addition, the validity of the idea concerning the characteristic of poetic-image structure was verified. As a result, eight types of the poetic image structure were found. The type of the poetic image structure was named 'poetry pattern of the image'. The hypothesis concerning a poetic image structure was verified though not quite satisfactorily.

Poetic-imagery means a special and environmental element which gives rise to a strong impression and activation of consciousness. We cant find any precedent of the study on poetic-imagery in the past papers. It is important that we search a study method of poetic-imagery by ourself. In this paper we tried to look below the surface of the poetic-imagery and search the method from the view point of the image structure. As a result, we acquired the guide of the study method.

Forty-eight cases of collegiate lecture rooms were psychologically assessed by students during regular classes through a semantic differential technique. Multi-variable analyses were then applied first to extract the structure of evaluation and then to predict students' satisfaction which represented the first and primary factor, namely, “overall evaluation.” Other factors were “lecture content,” “acoustics” and “communication.” Spatial and environmental planning guidelines for enhancing students' satisfaction as interpreted from the multiple-regression equation which explained 72.3% of variance were lower students' density, higher level of illumination, curbing of natural lighting and increased main window area per total wall area. Larger room depth as well as larger desk size increased satisfaction. Illumination, however, should be given priority over room depth. Twenty to thirty percent of illumination increase should compensate twenty percent decrease in room depth.

Factor analysis of semantic differential data, with forty-eight cases of collegiate lecture rooms psychologically assessed by students during regular classes, has established that distance evaluation forms diagonal coordinates together with overall evaluation. Multiple regression analysis has then explained psychological distance in five variables: room depth, natural lighting, illumination, window-opening ratio and student density. The ratio of room depth to breadth and main window area on both sides are also explanatory variables, supporting hypotheses of tunnel effect and window-frame rhythms as increasing factor. A multiple-regression equation explaining 69.4% of variance has revealed that 100~180 lx increase of illumination should compensate 1.8m decrease in room depth.
