科学技術者の倫理という問題の他、計算機情報学の発展は、科学技術と人文学の交流を必要としており、2005年にはロボット研究における人文科学との交流を呼びかける会が文部科学省科学技術政策研究所の主催で開かれている。しかし科学技術者や行政官は、医学と並んで最も古い伝統を持つ人文学の本質について考察することなく、便利屋として人文学の細切れ知識の動員を企図している嫌いがある。人文学は古いが故に非科学技術的と無視される反面、同じ理由で魅力を感じ、少数とはいえ人文学の研究に励んだ科学技術者や行政官もいる。「昭和の鴎外」と呼ばれた皮膚科学者太田正雄東大教授(詩人木下杢太郎)における医学研究、宗教史、美術史研究に共通する方法論や価値観を事例として、人文学と科学技術(彼の場合は医学)との方法論的関連について考察する。

A methodology of planning system is described in which creative logic for cognition and decision in an organization is formalized. Decision is considered as a tool for the objective and are deduced from the objective in the process of conceptual analysis of the objective with the aid of the value concept in the system. The value may be deduced also from the objective, or otherwise be given from outside by systems analysis. The advance in technique of conceptual analysis of an organizational objective is needed for a successful planned management.

Following the definitions of concepts of the linear algebra in a finite manner, two natural decision-making behaviours are constructively represented in a formal axiomatic system assuming the existence of the rational numbers and their arithmetics. Their capabilities of the optimal planning for the global organizations under the decentralized administrations are shown to be provable in the formal system. I. e., the optimal planning is shown to be computable on the Turing machine. In model 1 each branch is rather independent and the headquarters control the branches through the appropriate information flow. Model 2 has no headquarters and the natural bargaining process between the branches yields the optimal plan for the global organization.

Some important parts of economics are formally stated in a finite manner in the sense that their syntax is given and that their theorems are proved without resorting to the compactness just under the assumptions the rational numbers and their arithmetical rules are finitely given. Firstly the syntax introduces the linear space spanned over the rational field which is shown to meet the so-called axioms of the linear space. The simplex algorithm of linear programming provides a finite tool to develop the linear algebra and its. geometric representation which, on the contrary, usually in nonfinite systems deduce it. The basic parts of the game theory and non-linear programming are shown to be expressible in a finite manner as well. Economic behaviors besides games are also seen to be expressed by finite mathematics. Lastly it is remarked that the integer programming algorithms as the most powerful tool for finite systems are finite.
