In order to clarify the influence of forms of brassieres on beauty of clothing bust silhouettes, a visual impression of the bust clothing silhouette formed by C70 size brassieres in wearing under clothes was studied. Subjects (female college students) wore twenty-three types of brassieres (limited to C70 size) with different cup shapes under a pullover (of knit material) and their digital images of front, 45°-angled and side views were photographed. Then these images were evaluated by visual sensation of female college students using SD (semantic differential) method. As the result, the concept of “beautiful bust clothing silhouette” was able to be defined by a silhouette that has round, soft, natural and feminine feelings, without wrinkles on clothes and not showing the shape or line of the brassieres through the outer clothing; for example, the unevenness of the lace and seam. And it was found that the ideal shape of the cup is a three quarter cup consisting of seamless or three pieces (3 mai-hagi).

To obtain fundamental knowledge for improving the beauty of tights of flesh color types, we conductedmeasurements of SD method for visual impression and of optical properties including color, transparency, and distribution of step-luminance using three kinds of pantyhose, sheer, kohhen, and zokki, which differ in yarn structure, and three kinds of tights which differ in yarn thickness as samples.Two experiments were conducted, the one is individual wearing experiments that a subject wear only a pantyhose or a tights individually, and the other is superimposed wearing experiments that a subject superimpose a pantyhose on a tights.The obtained results are as follows : In the individual wearing experiments, pantyhose was beautiful but tights used in this experiments was not beautiful, especially sheer pantyhose was most beautiful among the three kinds of pantyhose.In the superimposed wearing experiments, when a zokki pantyhose superimposed on a tights, they obtained good glossy feeling.There were no difference between pantyhose and tights in color value and transparency.There were difference between the individual wearing and the superimposed wearing in the photographs and graphs of the distribution of step-luminance.

This study aims to obtain some guidelines for designing school bags that will reduce the body load. We analyzed school bag factors that affect shoulder strap pressure in terms of the shape of strap, its cramp and waist belt. Waist belts are not used usually in school bag design. However we thought that it would be useful for reducing the body load. Seven pupils were used as test subjects. The strap pressure of the shoulder part of the curved strap was lower than that of the straight strap. But the maximum pressure and standard deviation of the curved strap were larger than that of the straight strap. The curved strap was dependent on subject's body size. An important factor was the shape of the curve. The strap pressure of the pivoting cramp was lower than that of the fixed one. Therefore, it was shown that the pivoting cramp reduced the body load. The strap pressure of school bag with waist belt tended to reduce the body load. But the effectiveness of some waist belts were dependent on the subject's height. In particular, the waist belt with the soft and wide pad didn't fit some tall subjects. It was suggested that the change in the height of one's waist due to growth was the most important factor.

ストレス社会・高齢社会を迎え, 健康で快適な生活の遂行が希求され, "人にやさしい" 製品の開発が求められている. 本研究では, 脳波, 心電図, 筋電図, 連続血圧, 呼吸代謝, 体温, 皮膚性状, 発汗挙動などの生理生体情報を測定し, 繊維製品からの刺激と生体信号との対応関係を解析するとともに, 感性工学的手法を用いて, 諸機能(筋機能, 代謝機能, 体温調節機能, 皮膚組織の弾力など)の低下を伴う高齢者対応の繊維製品についての基礎的研究および具体的な設計指針の導出と製品開発を行った.

本研究では、高弾性衣料として、女性ファンデーション、レッグウェア、スポーツウェアを取り上げ、繊維組成・糸構造・編構造、衣料のデザイン・カッティング・サイズの各因子と衣服圧強度・衣服圧分布との関係を検討するとともに、その衣服圧が人体生理に及ぼす影響を、従来の静止時に加えて運動時・活動時について、さらに若年層に加えて中高齢層をも対象に検討を行った。また、レッグウェアについては、従来軽視されがちだった色柄などの審美特性についても重点的に検討するなど、本研究においては、生理的にも心理的にも健康で快適な高弾性衣料のための基礎的研究から具体的な設計指針を導出し、開発研究にまで繋げることを目的として、被服材料学的、人間工学的、被服生理学・運動生理学的、感性工学的観点から総合的・複合的に解析した。当該期間の研究成果は以下の通りである。1.女性ファンデーションとして、ウェストニッパーおよびブラジャーを取り上げ、衣服圧に及ぼす要因を明らかにする一方、衣服圧が人体生理・心理に及ぼす影響を明らかにした。また、ファンデーション素材の熱特性と温熱的決適性についても検討した。2.レッグウェアとして、サポートタイプパンティストッキング(パンスト)および紳士用靴下の圧的快適性に関する研究を行った。また、審美特性としてパンストの透明感、色彩と縞柄の視感、パンストの構造特性と審美特性との関係を明らかにした。3.スポーツ時の人体生理に関する基礎的研究に加え、歩行・走行時の脚部疲労を軽減しうる圧分布を明確化した。また、腕伸展運動および膝関節運動時に活動筋を支援しうる圧分布のあり方を、弾性テープを用いた数種のテーピング効果を解析することにより明らかにした。4.その他、シリンダー方式による脚型着圧測定装置の開発や高機能性付与素材の効果の検証等を行った。以上の研究は、報文21報、投稿中2報の他、5報を投稿準備中、1件の特許出願を予定している。これらのことから、本研究の目的は十分に達成されたと考えられる。

糸構造の異なる代表的市販パンティストッキングレッグ部の表面粗さ特性を明らかにするために, 円筒モデル実験と人体着用実験を行った.試料には, ゾッキ, 交編 (SCY) , 交編 (DCY) , シアー, ウーリー, コンジュゲイトのパンティストッキングを用いた.交編PSと他PSとの間, ウエール方向とコース方向との間, 丈方向と交差方向との間の表面粗さ特性値に, 大きな相違のあることを明らかにした.これらの相違の原因を, 編目形態と表面粗さ特性曲線から考察した.

We investigated the relationship between aesthetics and leg shape using Japanese female undergraduates from the viewpoint of the measurement of leg dimension using leg images, the statistical classification of leg shape, and the visual impression survey of subject's legs. Leg shape was classified into an aesthetic leg group and an ordinary leg group, and both were further classified into three sub-groups. Based on the analysis of these groups, the concept of aesthetic leg was defined, and an empirical f ormula for estimating leg aesthetics objectively and numerically was derived.

To improve the aesthetic appeal of pantyhose fabric, a new product was designed and developed and a wear experiment were conducted. We examined the gradational effects of lightness and visual impression of circular plain knitted fabrics made from novel single covered yarn composed of color polyurethane core yarn and uncolored nylon covering yarn with and without dyeing. The results indicate that, in terms of sheerness and gradation of lightness, for pantyhose samples made from single covered yarn, a combination of a coarser color polyurethane core yarn and a finer nylon covering yarn is preferable to that of a finer color polyurethane core yarn and a coarser nylon covering yarn. The gradational effects of lightness on the aesthetic appeal of legs clad in pantyhose are greatly influenced by the size and color of both core and covering yarns in the single covered yarn. Color polyurethane core yarn is useful for improving the distribution of lightness difference between legs with and without the pantyhose fabric on the entire leg wearing pantyhose. It was found that not only the sheerness but also the gradational effects of lightness for three-dimensional appeal of pantyhose is an important aesthetic property in beautifying legs clad in them.
