We surveyed "Shinsenju", "Shinsansui", "Ginpa", and the other remained buildings of Nakamura Yukaku, in order to analyze the characteristics of city planning and modern architecture in the age of Taisho to Early Showa which germinate modern urban thought. The urban planning is modernistic although follow basic urban structure of historic Yukaku, in consideration of anti-disaster, hygiene, etc. The floor plan of almost all buildings is typed 3 patterns according to functional matters on urban planning. "Shinsenju" and "Shinsansui" which are Japanese style have adopted western style everywhere, while "Ginpa" which is western style have been sukiya style at the interior.

Ten cases of aneurysmal bone custs were evaluated in regard to sex, age, site, symptoms, localisation, radiographic features, and histological appearance. We performed curettage and bone graft in 8 cases, curettage followed by hydroxyapatite packing in 1 case and wide resection followed by methacrylate packing in 1 case.Recurrences occurred in 4 cases, always within two years after surgery. Two cases were healed after their second operation. But recurrences were found several times in the other 2 cases. All cases were eventually cured and there was no evidence of malignant transformation.

This paper focuses to figure out the ideological trend of Chinese contemporary architects in the process of modernization and socialist transformation of traditional architectural culture by means of analyses of architects discours published in "the Architectural Journal" in the 1950-1970s, which is often called as "the Period of Chairman Mao". Refering to the method of linguistics, the keywords of discours and its frequency used in architectural papers are indexed and counted by subjects, and then be classified into several categories in accordance with the axes of "social background-architecture-culture" and "architectural ontology-methodology-artistry". Through construction and transformation investigation, it is found that architectural thoughts in that period are based on the government policy, i. e., the combination of "function, economy and beauty" in architecture, and the criterion of these is socialism ideology and political propaganda. According to the movement of focuses of architects' discours following the pressure of ideology and mass movement, this period can be divided into 6 phases.

Congenital metatarsus varus is different from congenital club foot in many respects, but thy have been often confused.We experienced eight cases of this deformity during the years 1970 through 1979 which is sufficiently severe to require treatment in corrective casts. Two were unilateral and six were bilateral.Here we discuss the diagnosis and results of treatment in our clinic.
