デジタル・ヒューマニティーズの第1波は1990年代に現れ、第2波「デジタル・ヒューマニティーズ2.0」は2000年代後半から始まった。今や研究者たちは、デジタル複製物を現物の代替物として利用するだけで満足していた段階を過ぎ、「デジタルならではの強み」を学問に応用することに新しい可能性を見ている。デジタル・ヒューマニティーズは「知の媒体」変化を伴っているためにきわめてインパクトが大きく、私たちは、デジタル・ヒューマニティーズがデジタルの功罪と相関関係にあることに何度も立ち戻る。The first wave of digital humanities had emerged in the late 1990s, and it shifted to the second or 'Digital Humanities 2.0' in the late 2000s. Researchers are now beginning to explore the new possibility for applying 'the real advantages of being digital' to humanities and social sciences, passing through the stage in which they were satisfied to use the digital as a duplicate of the original. Digital humanities has a huge impact accompanied with the shift of 'the medium for producing and disseminating knowledge'. We repeatedly return to the fact that digital humanities is significantly affected by the merits and demerits of the digital.

慶應義塾大学および東京商科大学で教鞭をとった福田徳三は、関東大震災勃発時の東京帝国大学附属図書館全焼に際して、一見すると冷淡とも見える見解を披瀝しているが、それは彼の大学図書館についての確固とした信念にもとづいた発言であった。本稿では、極窮権を中心とする福田の見解を手掛かりにして、大学図書館についての彼の主張を、その社会思想の全体から理解しようと試みた。福田の人間研究としての経済学の立場から見て、大学図書館とは、人間の精神的発達のあかしであった。Tokuzō Fukuda, who taught at Keio University and Tokyo University of Commerce, expressed apparently cold feeling when he heard that Tokyo Imperial University Library had been totally destroyed by fire after the Great Kantō Earthquake of 1923. In fact, his opinion was based on his unshakable belief on university library. This article tried to place it in his whole social thought, connecting it especially with his idea of right to extreme need. From his point of view, economics constitute part of the study of mankind, university library a token of their mental development.

日本学術振興会『人文学・社会科学の国際化について』では言語の問題に多くの紙幅が割かれ、分科横断的な問題として扱われている。人文・社会科学では言語間のずれが決定的な差異を生み出しかねないので、研究成果の発信には原資料の言語を用いることが合理的だが、それと同時により幅広い層に向け最大公約数的に英語を用いてより一般的な研究成果を発信することも国際化の一端であるということから、本論文では学問の国際化が持つ重層性を指摘する。併せて論文率と外国語率を指標に、一橋大学の研究成果発信の国際化を分析する。This paper shows the possibility that the internationalization of humanities and social sciences will be developed in phases. For, there are two types of internationalization and both are equally necessary: the internationalization for experts using the same language with the primary sources in order to avoid the gap between languages, and the internationalization for less specialized readers using English as a practical lingua franca. The internationalization of publication by the faculty members of Hitotsubashi University will be analyzed by the proportion of papers/books and foreign languages/Japanese as well.

1 0 0 0 IR 商法講習所尾張町仮校舎「鯛味噌屋2階説」の再検証

一橋大学のはじまりである「商法講習所」は森有礼によって明治8年、鯛味噌屋の2階を借りて開かれたという説は本学の「史実」として定着しており、細谷新治はこの店を「鈴木吉兵衛の鯛味噌屋」であると突き止めた。しかし今回調査を行ったところ、「鈴木吉兵衛の鯛味噌屋」が銀座に開店したのは早くとも明治10年末であり、開所時の商法講習所と時間的接点を持たないという結論に至った。It is well known that the Institute of Business Training was first located on the second floor of tai miso grocery shop in 1875; according to Shinji Hosoya, the shop was Suzuki's. This paper shows that Hosoya's conclusion is unlikely since the shop was opened in 1877 or 1878.
