デジタル・ヒューマニティーズの第1波は1990年代に現れ、第2波「デジタル・ヒューマニティーズ2.0」は2000年代後半から始まった。今や研究者たちは、デジタル複製物を現物の代替物として利用するだけで満足していた段階を過ぎ、「デジタルならではの強み」を学問に応用することに新しい可能性を見ている。デジタル・ヒューマニティーズは「知の媒体」変化を伴っているためにきわめてインパクトが大きく、私たちは、デジタル・ヒューマニティーズがデジタルの功罪と相関関係にあることに何度も立ち戻る。The first wave of digital humanities had emerged in the late 1990s, and it shifted to the second or 'Digital Humanities 2.0' in the late 2000s. Researchers are now beginning to explore the new possibility for applying 'the real advantages of being digital' to humanities and social sciences, passing through the stage in which they were satisfied to use the digital as a duplicate of the original. Digital humanities has a huge impact accompanied with the shift of 'the medium for producing and disseminating knowledge'. We repeatedly return to the fact that digital humanities is significantly affected by the merits and demerits of the digital.
3 0 0 0 OA 日本の洋式製本の技術伝播に関する歴史的研究 : 洋装本資料保存のための基盤整備
本研究では、明治期日本の洋式帳簿製本と、明治期に製本技術を習得した技術者による1950年代の修復痕が残る西洋稀覯書の現物調査を中心に、聞き取り調査による情報収集や記録資料の解析も並行して行い、製本の歴史的変遷を再検討した。その結果、帳簿製本については、技術導入以降、需要が高まり民間での製造が急増したことで、西洋由来の技術は試行錯誤が繰り返されて変容し、現在の日本特有の形に至ったことが分かった。稀覯書の修復痕調査からは、明治の導入期以来の技術や知識が基本的な部分で継承されていることが確認できた。資料保存の面では、現在の「原形保存」の淵源となる考え方が既に1950年代に存在していたことが分かった。

18世紀西洋の啓蒙は、科学、技術から政治思想に至る広範な領域で、19世紀以後の知の原型を与えたと考えられてきた。また20世紀後半以後の「近代」批判に対しては、啓蒙の現代的意義が主張されてきた。他方近年の啓蒙研究は、膨大な資料の丹念な発掘と読解、あるいはデジタル化などの新技術に基づき、当時のテクストを時代の文脈の中に位置づけ、多様で複雑な知の在り方を明らかにしてきたが、現代思想における近代批判や啓蒙の再評価に応える統一的な像を提起するには至っていない。本研究は啓蒙研究の現段階の方法と成果を総合し、「浮動する知の境界」という視点から多方面の貴重資料の分析を行い、啓蒙の知の総合的な解釈を試みる。

日本学術振興会『人文学・社会科学の国際化について』では言語の問題に多くの紙幅が割かれ、分科横断的な問題として扱われている。人文・社会科学では言語間のずれが決定的な差異を生み出しかねないので、研究成果の発信には原資料の言語を用いることが合理的だが、それと同時により幅広い層に向け最大公約数的に英語を用いてより一般的な研究成果を発信することも国際化の一端であるということから、本論文では学問の国際化が持つ重層性を指摘する。併せて論文率と外国語率を指標に、一橋大学の研究成果発信の国際化を分析する。This paper shows the possibility that the internationalization of humanities and social sciences will be developed in phases. For, there are two types of internationalization and both are equally necessary: the internationalization for experts using the same language with the primary sources in order to avoid the gap between languages, and the internationalization for less specialized readers using English as a practical lingua franca. The internationalization of publication by the faculty members of Hitotsubashi University will be analyzed by the proportion of papers/books and foreign languages/Japanese as well.

This paper intends to show that Adam Ferguson's moral philosophy has a body of theory, and that it follows the tradition of Scottish Philosophy. The tradition has 3 characteristics: 1. method of observation, 2. introspection, 3. a priori principles. Ferguson insists on the natural historian's method to find the ultimate facts, which are the superior facts that every theory must depend on. As for the moral approbation, he explains it by the law of estimation — the ultimate fact. The law can also be the guiding principle of man's good actions, since this moral approbation is accompanied with simple emotions of admiration or contempt.

一橋大学のはじまりである「商法講習所」は森有礼によって明治8年、鯛味噌屋の2階を借りて開かれたという説は本学の「史実」として定着しており、細谷新治はこの店を「鈴木吉兵衛の鯛味噌屋」であると突き止めた。しかし今回調査を行ったところ、「鈴木吉兵衛の鯛味噌屋」が銀座に開店したのは早くとも明治10年末であり、開所時の商法講習所と時間的接点を持たないという結論に至った。It is well known that the Institute of Business Training was first located on the second floor of tai miso grocery shop in 1875; according to Shinji Hosoya, the shop was Suzuki's. This paper shows that Hosoya's conclusion is unlikely since the shop was opened in 1877 or 1878.

Nagoya University Library (NUL) owns 2 full sets of Encyclopédie, which are classified as rare books. The publication of Paris edition began in 1751, followed by the supplements, plates and index. It was one of the bestsellers in Europe during the 18th century, and there are several editions in folio, quarto and octavo. The Encyclopédie in folio held by NUL was not identified as the Paris edition, but as its counterfeit, the Geneva edition. We had not distinguished them until the 1950s, since we did not see any difference between the Paris and the Geneva edition. Besides, the existence of differences among Geneva editions made the situation more complicated. We found that the 2 Geneva editions of NUL were not very much the same as either the 'Berkeley Set' or the 'Riverside Set', and they were not exactly the same.
