In this essay, I entered into a number of cases of Fudaraku Tokai, and showed that there was a historical change in the meaning of Fudaraku Tokai. In the end, I came to the conclusion that it had changed in the middle of 16th century. Before that, the meaning of Fudaraku Tokai was to reach Fudaraku alive. In the later half of the 16th century, however, it changed into "Jusuioujou" (i.e. to drown oneself wishing that he will be born again at Fudaraku), which was combined with the thought of the Pure Land.

Sojin Kamiyama, one of the key figures in the creation of the modern Japanese theater, was a friend of Junichiro Tanizaki throughout his lifetime. He is known as one of the few Japanese actors who performed in Hollywood in silent films in the 1920s. However, his life has not been sufficiently studied; nor his friendship with Junichiro Tanizaki fully investigated. This paper presents his personal history based on various data, information and interviews with members of his family.

The revival of J. S. Bach's "Matthauspassion" in 1829 in Leipzig under the direction of Mendelssohn, is regarded as a monumental festivity; the work had been performed under Bach's own direction just one hundred years earlier. But also in Kassel, the "Matthauspassion" was five times performed on the initiative of the Kapellmeister there, Louis Spohr (1784-1859), in spite of repeated reactionary pressure by the Court. Analyzing and examining Spohr's ideas about early music and the activities of the most elite choral society in Kassel, the "Cacilienverein", which was directed by Spohr himself, we can see that the revival of the "Matthaus" was not a mere musico-historical event. In other words, looking at the repertoire of the "Cacilienverein" and early-music elements in Spohr's "Messe" (Op. 54, 1821), it turns out that they learned early music under the influence of historicism and brought it into Spohr's works in various ways. Thus elite people were able to realize that they had gained an understanding of high culture by singing early music together.

Yoru no Nezame, the tales written in the Heian era, misses volumes both at the middle and end of every existent text, and the reconstruction of the contents of those volumes have been attempted by many scholars. Although this work seemed to have been completed, recently new materials for those missing volumes have been discovered and so now we need to reconstruct the contents all over again. Accordingly, It became clear that a story advanced according to the contents of the dream that Otoko-gimi watched from the meaning of a 31-Syllable Japanese poem discovered newly. It will be necessary to examine the structure of the story in future.

図書館の利用に精通していない一般の人々を対象に,図書館や図書館員についての認識を深め,その利用法について知ってもらうことが,これまで以上に必要となっている。そうした目的で書かれた本の事例として『図書館に訊け!』『図書館を使い倒す』をとりあげて検討した。共通してみられる点として,図書館利用法について知る機会が少ないこと,インターネットと対比させ図書館にも有用性があると主張していること,図書館の特徴を理解し使い分けること,職員に相談してレファレンスサービスを利用するのがよいこと,などがあげられる。The thing which it has known about the way of using a library is necessary to the general people. In this paper, the two books, Ask in the Library and Use a library are taken up, and the next items were considered with both books. There are a few opportunities to know about the way of using a library. The utility of the library is pointed out in comparison with the Internet. Appreciate the characteristics of every Library, and use it properly. It is good to consult a staff member ob Library.

女性図書館員が恋愛を経験することで変わっていく小説として,『蠍のいる森』『Open Season』(翻訳タイトル『パーティーガール』)をとりあげ,図書館員の描かれ方の違いやその背景にある事情を明らかにしようと試みた。ストーリーの中心人物が,図書館に勤める三十代の女性という共通した部分はあっても,恋愛に対する意識や,それを体験することで生じてくる状況の変化への対応については,日本の事例は受動的・他律的であり,アメリカの事例では,能動的・自律的であったといえよう。

This Thesis is the study of essays in the magazine HOTOTOGISU, by SAKAMOTO Shihota (1873-1917). In the 1900s, HOTOTOGISU's authors aim was to write a sketch of spoken Japanese language. Shihota, using the method of sketching, tried to reproduce spoken language which is discussed here. Shihota took uncontrollable conversational style writing and sketched it in the written style language. But, on the other hand, his challenge was how to help the organization of one hierarchical language by using another one. His sketch essays suppressed the lower class women and strengthened the solidarity of the students language and the people who used it. From there is where the slogan "sketch" held up HOTOTOGISU's possibilities and limitations which became apparent. This Thesis will hopefully help in the process of research by using the Japanese language as its standard.

ベルトラン・マルシャルによって編集された新しいプレイヤード版『全集』(全2巻1998 & 2003)の刊行により,新世紀のマラルメ研究を支える基盤がひとまず整えられたように思う。しかし,不満がないわけではない。とりわけ,「演劇に関する覚え書」(1886-87),ナショナル・オブザーバー紙掲載の記事(1892-93),「ある主題による変奏」(1895)といった批評を,『ディヴァガシオン』(1897)の前テクストの位置にとどめてしまったようにみえることが非常に残念である。それは,マラルメのようなエクリチュールの書き手のテクストをどのように扱い,どのような視点から考察するのかという重要な問題に関わってくる。マラルメを,とりわけ彼の批評テクストを,決定稿へと精錬させるパースペクティヴにおいて読むのではなく,一方では「生成論」的なまなざしを,他方でバルトがバルザックの校正刷に向けた同じまなざしをそこに注ぐことで,己れの生きた<世紀>に対峙する詩人の態度,つまりマラルメのべつの姿がそれ自体として見えてくるのではないか。マラルメ作品の「生成批評版」はそのような作業のためにこそ不可欠なのである。
